I'm tellin' ya'll, TW is the real deal.
Wanna know who the "Breakout" player is gonna be this season?
Hell, he may even sniff a few Most Improved votes.
Plus...A super cool dude.
"most improved" on the team or the ENTIRE league?

And the most JADED award goes to!
This dude just put out there that a player on our roster named Watford is going to challenge for the Most Improved player in the entire NBA....I point it out and I'm "jaded"? Ha! This place never ceases to amaze.I say it every year, no wonder so many on here get so mad and pissed every night.
I'll be content if the guy gets in games when they are blowouts and he shows some scrap and hustle.

He’s probably going to play more than that.
He’s got some experience from last year. Showing signs of improvement and just led the summer league team to a great showing.
Thinking he will see more than just garbage minutes.

He didn't say that at all. He said Watford "may" "sniff a few votes"--that's a far cry from saying he'll "challenge for MIP".

You're "jaded" because you take someone saying something mildly positive and twist it into an unreasonable homeristic declaration, and then ridicule people for saying things they didn't actually say, all so you can continue to claim some invalid and irrelevant position of superior objectivity.

You could be right, but out of curiosity what part of his game do you question? I think we do overvalue our players, but I also think that some question players who are not highly drafted, and in this case not drafted at all.

Granted we won't know until he actually plays in more meaningful games but he seems to be getting better every few months. He was better last fall than he was in the summer league, he was better at the end of the season than he was in the fall, and he even improved this last summer league. Now he looks like he is in even better shape. Some players work their asses off to get better....is he that type of player?

I don't think he will be a star, but there are so many things to like about him at the PF position. He can score in a lot of different ways, and he pushes the ball up the court very well for his position. He is short but has a long wingspan and he plays with a lot of energy. My one concern is...... can he defend the perimeter against stretch 4s. Now Chauncey might value Winslow as the backup 4 instead, which will cut his minutes, but I do think Watford is a solid bench player. Especially if that 3-ball keeps improving.

As @PtldPlatypus pointed out, that is not what I said, at all.
"might sniff a few votes" is a far cry from "is going to challenge".
My belief is he will play a significant role on this team, and be its "surprise" breakout player.
"This dude"???.....Really?...

Divisions have been totally useless for quite a while. When I look at the standings I never select the "division" option. I always look at the conference standings for seeding purposes. So I guess I lean toward just having 2 conferences. That leaves the Blazers playing 17 eastern conference teams twice (34 games) and the 16 western teams 3 times. Alternate every year who gets HC.

Edit: That can't be right. That comes out to 34 teams. Regardless I like just having 2 conferences and no divisions.

yeah...you went overboard on expansion

but at 32 teams and 2 conferences with 3 games in-conference and 2 games other-conference you'd have 77 games. I'm in favor of lessening the schedule with fewer games. 5 fewer games seems a good compromise

For some reason, I was thinking people were talking about two western teams moving east when we add Seattle and Vegas. But I guess only one team will move east.

Watford's minutes will most likely go up, but don't underestimate how much Winslow adds defensively off the bench. The most improved player, IMO, will be Nassir Little. He's on an ascension to special.
Yep, Winslow along with Dame, could be healthy enough to improve on their game's.

I honestly can’t reply to the second half of you post, because there are words in it I simply don’t know what they mean. I’m assuming you were giving me props for having realistic expectations for our 10th seeded team in the west.

I think in-season tournament is a great idea. I’m excited for it. Instead of a relatively meaningless game on Christmas Day, the teams will actually be playing for something.

Year after year you predict us to be a lottery team and year after year we make the playoffs

His point is year after year he is happy they do that well and enjoys the season through. I get it.
I've been watching this team a long time. I have to say they have been entertaining most of those years.
