Things that make you go "Hmmmmm......"

I think it comes down to the position they play. So many games are decided in the last 5 minutes. Guards take over because they can handle the ball better and have more of a variety of shots. (With LBJ and Durant being a few of the exceptions) Thus IMO they effect win totals more.

Dame sets our culture and is a far better leader. His own stats seem pale in comparison to AD's but his impact extends past the box score.

And Dell Demps ran that roster into the ground by wasting every asset. We thought Neil was bad...

Agreed.
The other factor is injuries. Missing an extra 10-15 games per year makes a big difference when trying to make the playoffs too.

Agreed. I think the tweet I shared was more saying that a player of AD's caliber should have more of an impact than he does. Now granted, it helps to not have the injury history that he does, but to make the playoffs only TWICE in his career? Yes, tis a team sport, but come on now......

I don't see it. Last year was the first in AD's tenure that New Orleans had a half decent roster, as far as I can remember, and look how we fared against them in the playoffs. Wasn't Dante Cunningham like their second best player for awhile there?

You can also make a case that AD's performance is trending upward faster than Dame's.

Based on the individual's tweet, I'm not sure that the argument was AD's individual performance vs. Dame's. I think it's more of impact towards team success.....at least that's what I think. No one in their right mind would say Dame > AD in terms of talent.

Jrue Holiday has been there 6 of the 7 years. They also had Tyreke Evans for several years.

The tweeter is saying to look at the rosters and explain why Dame has had more team success. That implies the rosters are comparable, which I'm saying is far from the truth. Dame has had way more talent around him. The premise is rubbish.

Jrue was pretty mediocre(and oft injured) until last year, and Tyreke was there during his forgotten years. There might be a decent argument for that being indicative of AD not bringing out the best in teammates, but the demonstrated talent was quite low.

LMAO at Lebron's comment...

Heres one for ya...I was talking to a bud from Orange County yesterday on the phone, he's a huge round ball fan (Clippers), he said there was some guy that called in on a radio show predicting J. Buss will fire Magic and bring in Olshey to get Dame board.
