We had a call just like this in our favor in one of Dame's most memorable games:
Look at Aldridge save the ball inbounds about 7 mins in.

Or one that went against us:

Yeah but those are just one foot in live action so they will be missed occasionally. Durant literally took 4 steps out of bounds and had both feet way past the line when he touched the ball.

C'mon man, that is a huge stretch to think that Olshey would be the one giving Woj information about Philly simply because it happened in Portland. They got their asses kicked here.
I was being sarcastic. Even I know the Woj-Neil connection doesn't go that far.

Ohhhhh snap! Jimmy Butler is at it AGAIN!!!!!

KAT is vindicated here, right? Jimmy seems like a horrible teammate

Okay good, it is interesting that he's causing problems in yet another place. I wonder if Philly would trade him before the deadline so they don't lose him for nothing in free agency.

I wouldn't say vindicated. KAT still seems like he isn't living up to his potential. I think it's pretty clear Butler has some issues though.

I kept saying here how his attitude (so called winner who hasn't really won anything) creates a bad work environment. His tirades in Minnesota were alarming to me. That attitude just gets heightened in a place like Philly with so many young leaders who are just now trying to establish a footing in the league. I'd try to get rid of him. Cut your losses while you can and continue to build around Simmons and Embiid.

Considering the events surrounding him this season, if you were Neil, what ridiculous lowball offer would you send Philly to take him off their hands?

The problem is that Philly wouldn't trade him for bad contracts that aren't expiring and we don't have enough expiring ones. So CJ for Butler is back to being the only trade that makes sense to them, in my opinion, since he's actually a useful player. Maybe they'd be willing to add something in too.

Mayyyyyyyyyvbe Harkless, Aminu, and Curry for Butler but that ties up a big chunk of their cap space this summer.

Butler and Stotts are a match made in hell.
Haha - that was my first thought! Most players would love to play for a coach who doesn't hold them accountable, but I suspect Butler would probably choke Stotts for not holding others accountable.

Would have to be a three teamer. Maybe with DAL and Wesley. Philly would be better with Wes as their spacer than Jimmy anyway.

Shoot for the moon. Adjust as necessary to make it make sense for all involved.

I don't like the idea of a guy supposedly berating others about not knowing how to win when he has yet to play past the second round. And he is on a team full of talent now and clearly doesn't know how to sacrifice for the betterment of the team. Just a bad attitude all around. Tremendous talent, but I wouldn't give up much to get him.

Aldridge was not out of bounds yet.

The problem with Butler is he says he is all about winning, and could care less about shooting, but in reality he is selfish. He wants those stats to justify a max deal. Maybe after he signs his big contract he will focus more on what makes him good. But from what I saw from him against Portland he did not play much D at all.

He likes to have the ball in his hands which is IMO why he clashed with Rose. How is that going to work with Simmons in Philly?

Holy tax hell. I mean if Jody was willing to pay I'd be down. 76ers would need more than just Aminu though.
I'm sure they would, but is Butler approaching addition-by-subtraction status yet? Who knows.

As I said, adjust as necessary. Maybe Detroit sends Bullock over to Philly since they're getting CJ. Maybe Philly wants a year of Harkless instead of Aminu. Maybe including Simons is enough to intrigue them. I dunno--I'm just spitballing here. But I think it's feasible that there might be enough assets on our side and disillusionment and overpayments on the others to make a mega-overhaul of this nature possible (if we had a different GM).

Hey, remember that Quick said Olshey got permission to almost make a minor trade earlier this year!

Quick said that?

I quit reading him pretty much altogether. Maybe i better start again? Does he even have Blazer credentials still?

I believe Neil confirmed it too
