Tony Allen should have been considered a forward so that Avery Bradley could have made the 2nd team.

That had to be a joke, right? A protest vote?

Naw Lillard is underrated defensively. Most of his "flaws" are system based. When Lillard is allowed to guard a guy one on one, or when a guy tries to post him up, he usually steps up. McCollum is a lot worse.

Aminu and Lillard got a vote.

Robert Covington stuck out to me especially receiving 2 first team votes. place much higher than PG13, jae crowder(a forum fave), Iguodala, and other small fwds. that have the reputation of defensive stalwarts. is he a realistic trade target?

Well PHI does have like 5 guys overseas that they can't bring over right now because they don't have roster spots for them so I guess anything is possible if we gave them a guy they could cut or a two for 1 deal so they gain a roster spot. Not likely though imo. They do value him.

Dame is horrible on defense, man. The system doesn't do any favors, but the angles he takes on screens and his instincts are just trash. Can't believe he got a vote for the defensive team. I want to know who this voter is.

ezeli?

Room for what?

They waived him because he had a non-guaranteed contract and played a total of 47 minutes all last season. They would be better off with a potted plant on a vet min contract taking his roster spot.

More Cap room for Free Agency I would assume is what he meant since I assume it becomes guaranteed at some point.

Becomes guaranteed after June 30.

They are already $24.6 million under the cap, even after the Jimmy Butler trade. Do they really think they are going to be the free agent destination of choice for the likes of Chris Paul or Blake Griffin, or even Gordon Hayward?

Cutting Jordan Hill isn't going to help them land a top free agent. They did it because he sucks and they could. He played so little last season, they would be better off giving his roster spot to anyone (or even no one).

They did it because of both imo. They have plenty of bigs (and yes better than him). At least that is what I think he is implying but not saying you have to agree.

No, I am looking at their forum and they absolutely love him and are speculating about giving him a $18M - $20M deal.

I get that it's twitter and people try to say things with as few words as possible but in this case, I think it would have been more accurate to simply say they declined to pick up the final year of his non-guaranteed contract.

His 3-point shooting is only average, but he has really developed into an outstanding defensive player.

$18 - $20 million sounds high at first, especially since he won't be starting this year with Ben Simmons joining the active roster, but them Allen Crabbe got that kind of money and he doesn't start either. So, you never know.

PHI already exercised their $1.577 million option for 2017-18. So, his big payday won't happen until next summer. They still have him on a cheap contract for one more year.

Kyle Lowry maybe?

I get the feeling that Cleveland are trying to work out a trade involving Love with just about everybody. Kind of sad. I never thought much of Love but he had a great year and did everything they asked. Of course they just fired their entire front office. Gilbert seems like such a great guy.

The full voting won't be released until tomorrow. I made an informal "bet" with @KingSpeed that Allen Crabbe won't finish in the top 10.

Apparently the Nets and Philly are trying really hard to get Redick. Should be interesting to see how much money he gets. Then we'll know Allen Crabbes value around the league.

Redick:
33 years old
28.2 min
15 ppg
2.2 reb
1.4 ast
.7 stl
11.4 fga
.429 3p%
.599 ts%
14.8 per

Crabbe:
25 years old
28.5 min
10.7 ppg
2.8 reb
1.2 ast
.7 stl
8.2 fga
.444 3p%
.602 ts%
11.6 per

Allen Crabbe is obviously more athletic, and on the upswing, while JJ is on the downswing. I think JJ is gonna get a fat contract. Maybe 3 years at most, but a lot of money per year. So moving Allen Crabbe might not be so hard after all.

Ha I came to this board to post the same rumor. My question is who do these two teams turn to if they don't get Redick? Very anxious to see how much they offer him.

I think the Nuggets have one of the least aware/hoop knowledgable fans in the league. There's some dude is bitching about how Nurk got one second place vote and when I tried to say that his short stretch of great games was well worth that one measly vote all the sudden it's like I shook the hive.

Nuggets fans seem to be in full meltdown about Nurk. I can't wait to see how they react if he's an all-star/wins most improved/wins a championship.

It's just pathetic on their part at this point. It's not even like he Fd them in FA, that FO messed that situation up, but they still blame Nurk.
