Casspi would've been a great addition.
Meh. Hasn't been super reliable from a health standpoint and has only really shot well for maybe 25% of his career. Underrated defensive player though.

I'm more interested to see what they do at the center position.

And a players tribune piece because that's the cool thing to do now when you fuck the small market team. Hayward is no different than Durant but people will excuse Hayward. He went to Boston to form the "big 3" knowing the east is weak and now it will come down to them and cavs in the east. Utah is fucked now

Hayward
Tatum
Brown

The time is NOW to poach Jae Crowder.
Beat me to it. Couple reasons they might want to keep him:
1. he can play 4 in smallball
2. he's on an amazingly cheap contract
3. he's their best frontcourt defender

But if we don't offer Meyers for him I'll be disappointed.

Boston will trade one of Crowder, Smart, or Rozier evidently. I'd be interested in both Crowder and Smart.

I think Boston would be interested in Vonleh.

Feel for Utah. They were building a decent tram that gave us fits last year. Let's see if we can break off a piece of Boston's excess parts.
Yeah Hayward did them dirty, they really built a great supporting cast for him and all signs were pointing towards improving.

Relatedly, I'm curious what Dewayne Dedmon does. He'd be a pretty ideal acquisition for the Warriors, but they only have the taxpayer's MLE, which is around $5.5M. I'm interested to see how the league values him.

I'm all for going after Crowder, but I still think they keep him. Ainge loves him and with Hayward in, I don't think it makes sense to effectively make your team worse over the next year or two by playing a rookie/2nd year player in his place.

There's no need for them to make that kind of move right now.

Doesn't matter. He did the same thing that Durant did. And people barely a year over are forgiving Durant. Hayward is no different. So his ex-fans will be angry over cups of tea while playing board games, rather than cursing him while drinking beer over bbq.... it's all the same. No one will give a shit.
