Durant and Kyrie have been playing lately and they still lose. Kyrie missing games has been his fault. Simmons won't be back for weeks. Nets could easily miss the play-in.

It was what, Durant's second game back and they barely lost on the road to possibly the hottest team in the league (Boston).

Try harder.

Excuses excuses. They can’t afford “barely” losses.

Like tonight? Oh wait, Brooklyn won on the road against a team fighting them for play-in spots. The only excuses are on your part, trying to dig out of an inexcusably illogical hole.

I'm not a Nets fan, but I'm also capable of recognizing the obvious.

Dude, Brooklyn will probably be in play-in. They could easily be 9th. That means 1 home game without Kyrie, lose and they're out. A barely loss won't help. As for tonight, hooray, they got to .500!

Crazy stat tonight: Pacers played 9 guys and 8 of them scored in double figures. They lost too. Crazy.

Damn, the Warriors got Poole, Kuminga and Moody. Now that’s how you draft good players

Wizards lookin good with Porzingis. Brooklyn could miss the play-in. They were #1 about month or so ago.

And this is why no one takes you seriously.

I'll be one of them

Me too. The problem is when they come back home the next time - with 5 home games in 8 days. Even when we are playing actual basketball, 5 home games in 8 days is too much. But with this? I don't think I can do it.

Well, is he wrong tho? I mean both statements can be true since we still have two more months of the season left.

Yes, but he tries to flip flop between positions without ever acknowledging he previously argued against it. So, he's simultaneously always right and always wrong.

I don't see a contradiction in the two posts. One is saying they'll probably be the 9 seed; the other says they could even miss the play-in altogether. In both, he's saying that the Nets have vastly underachieved. Where's the problem?

The 9 seed doesn't miss the play-in, so those are contradictory positions. If he was saying they're on the bubble and could go either way, that might be a reasonable view. But, he tries to argue one side of it (usually the less sensible one), then abruptly jumps ship and hopes no one notices he's now taking the other side. Surely, you've noticed the pattern over the years?

I wasn't talking about a "pattern"--just talking about the two specific posts in question, which can be easily reconciled in the manner you stated.
