Hack-a-Simmons happened.
15-29 from the line, with 24 free throws coming in the 4th quarter.
Lost me a category in fantasy by himself. And I have Drummond on my team.
Pretty good line, but for whatever reason Washington deemed it was necessary to put him on the line.

Ah I did not get into this. Still, 16 from the field and 18 rebounds is great.

A guy I was in the Marines with, was like 6’2” 260 15% bodyfat. Played basketball like a globetrotter, had horrible asthma though.

He’s the only person I’ve ever seen that jiu jitsu doesn’t really work on.
Like my clone minus the Marines and asthma. At the time anyway. It ended up being 51 percent bodyfat later.

Look who's carrying the Spurs in Kawhi's absence:

(To @SlyPokerDog in my "outraged lil' black kid voice")

"OOOOOoooooooh!!!!! I'm TELLIN'!!!!!"

Posting this CRAP should be a bannable offense.... Fuckin' toilet tissue soft ass n***a... T.T.... The Texas Turncoat... The Texas Traitor...

Fuck him...

It kept working and Washington kept hitting big hoops on the other end. Was watching the game and they just wouldn’t go away. Never been a fan of the hack a Shaq game plan, but if it’s working and gets you back in the game.....

Man when the Spurs get Leonard and TP back...... they are doing this without 2 starters. Doesn’t matter how little Parker does stat wise, what he does do is run that Pop system to perfection.

Without as many timeouts, time management also factors into this strategy too; I expect it'll happen more as coaches cleverly chat with their guards during FT time to compensate for a lack of timeouts.

Predicting the playoff picture using SRS (from basketball reference)... I'm only putting this here out of curiosity to see how it changes over time and if it'll hold for the season at all.

It's not only the minutes, it's the defense from the wolves. especially Towns is a weak defender witch is crazy because he has the body and athletic to be a hell of a two way player. Sometimes it look's he sleep on rotation or is just too lazy to defend
If you were starting a team, whom would you pick out of Towns, Porzingis or Jokic? It's not so obviously Towns as it used to be. Towns definitely not the Next Anthony Davis (yet).

Oh shit, here we go.....’Bron to Philly.

I honestly don't see this happening. But I would totally be okay with it. Let LeBron get a shot at catching Kobe's # of rings. He's so mch better than Kobe that it would be a justice.

LMA will go back to being ignored when Leonard returns. He’s doing this right now because they have nobody else to feed the ball too. When Leonard returns LMA will go back to Aldridge from last year

Nuggets and Tpups nipping at our heels - both lose tonight.
Ben Simmons with mad stats line last night. 31 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals.

Embiid had 25 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and a steal.

They are crazy out there in Philadelphia.
This is the main part of Philly's "Process" - it's not to just get high draft picks, but to keep trading high draft picks for more high draft picks until they get elite players. It's been long and slow, and still no guarantee as both of their stars have significant injury histories. But, if nothing bad happens, the wait will have paid off.

The word on the street is that neither Towns nor Jokic play any defense at all. If true, KP should probably get the nod.

Too soon.

Just now watching the Laker vs GState game from last night. Ingram is so young and raw. Kid is going to be damn good in a few years. Lamar Odom like, maybe not the PG skills he had, but still.
Made some amazing and stupid plays, but thats what you get with such young guys.
That 2nd 3 by Curry in OT was just ridiculous!!! Dude was running back up court not even looking when the ball splashed thru the net. HA!!!

Yeah I watched it as well. Both Curry and Durant missed horribly on shots in the 4th, but they always seem to hit a big one at the end.

Yeah Ingram is sneaky good we he gets in the paint. He is so long....and has decent handles. And he is just good enough from deep that you can't back off of him.

Odom is not a great comparison for Ingram at all. Hell, he's closer to KD with his scoring ability.

This is some sensationalized stuff. Instead of what happens just about everywhere else (the player coming out to say "I'm not getting playing time, so I'm transferring" or "I thank the team for the opportunity, but the system is not a for me" or "I came here for coach X, so if he's gone I'm looking at my options"), in this case it's "Lavar pulls his son out of college".

I mean, Johntay Porter, 4star recruit going to where his dad got an asst. coaching job, at least got on twitter:

or Kyle Allen, QB at Texas A&M transferring:
Allen announced in December that he would transfer before A&M's bowl game, and was followed a week later by freshman quarterback Kyler Murray. Few concrete explanations for the departures had been given before Allen opened up.
"I think the culture was a big part of it, and I think that stems from Johnny's era there - the way that they let Johnny and [others] act there," Allen told Dennis Dodd. "They [could] do that and still win games because they had Johnny...and five offensive linemen playing in the NFL right now.
A lot of people were riding off that, 'I can do whatever the hell I want and win on Saturday.'"

I can't find anyone else in a quick search whose pops was like "I'm pulling my boy out b/c Coach K doesn't play him" or whatever.
Seriously?

It's happening to a kid from Portland:

The fucked up thing is that he was doing well and getting PT at Michigan.
