Just watched the NYC vs Philly game from AbuDhabi! God damn it feels good to watch basketball again!

Correction... not the "first and last games"
Pre-Season Schedule

10/10 vs Kings
10/14 vs Warriors - Rip City TV & BlazerVision
10/16 at Jazz
Bro that Jazz game doesn’t count!

So the Jazz are no longer an NBA team? Or are we just saying they suck?
I was simply trying to deflect the fact that I didn’t realize there was another game after the second Golden State Warriors game. And this smart ass Beavers fan came in and corrected me, but I refuse to give him credit.

So you are saying to Suck something but not the Jazz.

I live in Texas but from Oregon. It's seriously much harder to stay in shape here in the summers. So hot 24/7 even in the evenings. Sitting in a pool is fun but sure as hell ain't a workout. Compared to hiking trails and such that you can do year round in the NW.
Hmmm? That’s a different take. Not saying you are wrong but a whole bunch feel Oregon is fatsville for like 8 months a year.

Anybody I know who likes Texas just loves to play video games in the AC.

Wow really? Seems like the rain would bring more gamers.
Nah, "too expensive" here. They brag about how they get much bigger houses with much bigger yards for the same price or less... Then start in on it being too hot outside but they don't care since they just play video games all day... ... (???)

We don't even get that bad of rain. It is more Grey skies than anything. Our rain is slow and steady. We never get downpours like they have in the Midwest and east coast. That shit is scary.
Rains way harder here in Texas than the NW. Can be many inches in an hour.

The NW is depressing from the lack of sun, when people say it rains too much they really mean lack of sun.

You can hike and run and such in cold weather. I also ski a lot in the winter. Can't do any of that in Texas heat.

For some people they stay inside the whole winter in the NW so I can see how you stay out of shape from that. I did find the lack of sun depressing.

Really depends where in Texas. I live in Austin which is just as pricy as Portland. Some parts of Texas are very inexpensive though

It's a huge state. I live in the middle, if I drive 9 hours west I'm still in Texas at El Paso. Thats just as long of a drive as from El Paso to Palm Springs near LA.

The lack of income tax is a massive bonus in Texas. Could get that benefit in Vancouver or such though.

Ha, I am the exact opposite. I stay in much better shape when our pool is open. Swimming is one of the best ways to stay in shape. And you don't really even have to do laps. There are a ton of exercises you can do in a pool, and they are all low-impact.

You should see what the rain has done to the “war-ravaged” battlefields that were once Portland.

I thought this was pretty funny

Anyone here about Lebron making an announcement tomorrow at 9am our time? Gotta be announcing this is his last season?
