USA Basketball is expected to hire the Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra as the next head coach of the men's national team, sources told ESPN.

Spoelstra succeeds Steve Kerr for the 2027 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics after serving as a lead assistant on Team USA's 2024 gold medal squad.

Not saying he's not impressive, but that doesn't look super fast.

2 pre-season games don't mean much, and I'm sure if he was a Blazer I'd be fine with that production, but it seems kind of average.

Granted, like I said, it's just 2 pre-season games.

None of those highlights would be very impressive if a 4-year vet had done them. If he's going to be Cooper Flagg™ then he needs to get better.

Also Hansen's behind the back move was way more coordinated and confident.
