CWebb, he's just pumped, so you excuse his enthusiasm. Dick Stockton, I absolutely abhor.

Refs fuck pacers over. A phantom offense foul waves a bucket that would have put Chi lead to 3 and then on the other end really blatant push on on a pacers player so the ball goes off of him as he is falling out of ground. I can't recall any other time in as long as i'v watched the playoffs that so many close games have been screwed over by the refs in such a short period of time

MAKE UP CALL.

hahaha and the Bulls fans shouting "Bullshit". they should count their blessings.

Bullshit?! These are some idiotic fans. That was an obvious foul, and if the refs missed that call, they would have been put under even deeper piles of shit.

PACERS SUCK? Count your fuckin blessings, dumbasses. You need Stern in your back pocket to beat an 8th seed, 37 win team missing its starting PG.

Why the fuck do you guys watch the NBA if you all think its already rigged and you know the outcome?

I dunno how many of us think its rigged but I think the big markets have an advantage if they have a SS on there team. Pointing out bad calls that effect the outcome of games isn't making a statement about the state of the NBA its simply watching the end of a game and pointing out horribly officiating that probably cost a team the win. I'd point it out if it was the lakers (though I might be gleeful of it) if the refs fucked them over in the last minute too.
It is kind of a middle finger to the fans who just spent 2 to 2 and a half hours watching the game to have it come down to bad calls and not letting the team and fans get what they deserve by letting them just play it out and having the players decide it.

Its a shame that the refs take the game away from the players and decide it with their whistles, but I don't think anything will be done about it. As a Lakers' fan, I feel like we used to get the benefit of superstar calls...and compared to a team like you guys, we still might, but compared to OKC and Miami, we don't get jack shit. But we have nobody else to blame but Kobe for that. His years of constant barking and bitching have made him a targeted man, IMO.

Maybe if I was a fan of a small market team it would bother me more than it already does? I missed the 4th quarter of your game 1 against Dallas. Where the calls really that atrocious?

The calls were pretty much just the same that Dirk would get in the regular season, its more the fact that they were calling touch fouls on dirk and we were getting HAMMERED at the other end and no calls that was frustrating. Almost all of LMA time was in the paint he was getting hacked/held/shoved/ect and nothing while dirk would get touched went to the line. We still could have won the game even with the fact that 15 of the last 20 points in the final 9 minutes of the game came from the FT for Dallas, but we screwed up and lost it. Refs didn't cost us the game but they made it damn near impossible for us to win it.

Well it seems like the media is running with these bad calls more than I can remember in the press. If the coaches keep bringing it up post game, despite the fines, and the media can continue to run with it...Stern's gotta do something, right? This looks horrible for a league that just barely got over a ref/betting scandal. You don't see shit like this in baseball and in football, it seems like this shit gets fixed pretty fast.

The 4th quarter calls where the tiniest bit of contact of Dirk were fouls but Chandler completely manhandling Aldridge before and after he got the ball were the worst in my opinion. That had to have been a conscious effort to allow more contact on one end of the court. It just had to be.

Watching the Bulls/Pacers series each time I come away impressed with Tyler Hansbrough.

He's developing into a top-tier garbage man.

I can't see why you'd make this post after he went 2/12 for 6/6 in 40 minutes...

Painful. Simply painful.

This is a question I have asked myself every off season for the last 8 years.

Inertia is the answer at this point.

The bias has gotten worse and worse since the Jordan years.
Maybe it will swing back the other way after Stern retires/dies.

The problem with refs in basketball is that they can give teams free points.

The same is not true in the NFL or MLB. They can only take points away.

It makes it way easier for officials to affect the outcome of games, which in turn makes corruption that much more likely.
The same is true in Soccer.

Not sure what can be done about it but they best do something.
It's really starting to get to the point where even the most casual fan can see something is very wrong.

Your eyes decieve.

Kobe Bryant Free Throw Attempts per 36 minutes:

Career: 7.5
2010-2011: 7.6
2009-2010: 6.9

Good point. My solution? Get rid of the on-the-floor free throw and technical foul shots. Keep the and-one foul shot only; being fouled on a shot that doesn't go in only earns you a new possession. if a foul occurs on the floor, give the team another possession (with 16 on the shot clock -- why didn't that go up when the 10-second half court rule became the 8-second half court rule?), and call it good. Treat illegal defense as a personal foul instead of a technical. People still foul out after 6 and are ejected after 2 technicals, but there's no FTs involved.

I might be persuaded to give 2 FT's and the ball back on flagrant fouls...

What does this do: For the first 3 quarters, not much changes. In the 4th, though, the entire end-game changes. The foul-and-launch strategy is gone. The refs no longer give players star calls on the drive. With under 16 seconds to go in the game, getting fouled is the key to winning the game, so the team with the ball will be aggressive, while the defending team will be looking to play good defense without fouling. Refs have no incentive to call fouls in the last 15.9 seconds because they don't change the outcome of the game, unless the shot goes in.

All out hustle 100% of the time. He shot poorly in game two but a lot of the things he does on the court doesn't show up in the stat sheet.

Memphis is going to win this series.

I'm so glad we never traded for Richard Jefferson like was always rumored. He's garbage.

Jarrett Jack's taking it to Blanky right now.

How awesome would it be if JJ was our backup right now?

As I posted, LAL would win once BLANKY returned. 5 assists in 12 minutes, and I'm not sure what game you were watching, but Jack was terrible tonight.

6 points/1 assist/ 3 TOs in 24 minutes. Brutal.

I know your Blanky's #1 fan and all. And your probably giddy about his new headband. He sucks.

All 30 GM's would rather have Jack.

Whomever plays the Bulls in round two: ATTACK BOOZER!

I think I have found a player who is a worse defender than Luke Babbitt.
