It's gotta be. Who wants to pay him to play basketball next season? It's over. Retire.

Its Shaq anyone who is a contender that needs a big man for 15m a night will still take him. I think the big problem is that the celtics wanted him to play over 25m a night in the playoffs, he is just to big and old for that now.

That just closed the door of the Celtic's chances of ever winning another championship for a while. Same goes for the Lakers and Spurs too. All these new and younger teams will takeover.

No more posting for me tell halftime, need to get an ipad so I can do this forum stuff from the couch.

Dude. He couldn't even play 1 minute when it mattered. He is useless at this point in his career. Couldn't help Cs cuz he couldn't play. KG might as well retire too while we're at it. The Celtics' window is shut.

Def closed for Spurs and Cs but Lakers still have some talent that could bring in some players to help them contend again in a few years. I hope not though.

Nate Robinson's career has came down to cheerleading in OKC.

I highly doubt it. Especially with no PJax.

Shaq played 17 minutes TOTAL since February 1st. If he gets healthy and really wants to latch on as a 12th man for a team next season I'm sure teams would pay him the minimum salary but thats just a sad end to such a dominant career. Jordan averaged 37mpg 20ppg on 45% shooting while 40 years old and Jordan still hung it up. If Shaq wants to end his career like Moses Malone scoring no more than 5.3ppg for his final three years he could keep playing.

The C's have to give it one more shot, if Rondo hadn't had the injury perhaps they beat Miami and go to the finals this year. Maybe Wade or Lebron is the one injured next season? It is so hard to build a championship contending team; they have a much better chance of a deep title run next season with the current core then rolling the dice on rebuilding faster than all other 15 teams in the east. Even if they wanted to blow it all up they are well over the cap and nobody is going to give up young studs for Garnett and Allen, the C's should let those contracts expire next offseason and re-evaluate at that time.

No fuck that! They are sooooo done! And this is why they need to trade Rhondo to us for a first rounder! They need to rebuild in the draft!!!!!

Here is what I have noticed watching other teams play. Their team defense, especially in pick and roll situations is very crisp and decisive, unlike the Blazers. The big man often pushes the ballhandler out so far that the defenders are easily able to get back to their original men. I never see this with the Blazers.

Since I watch delayed on NBA Broadband, I often use the 10 second forward button after made shots or even defensive rebounds. This worked well when watching the Blazers, as most times after ten seconds had passed they were just bringing the ball to midcourt; it even seemed to work for most Blazer opponents, as they also seemed to slow down in Blazer games. It doesn't work in the playoffs since other teams get into their offense so quickly that I often miss a lot of action and baskets.

I have thought the same thing, there is more of a benefit in the regular season to minimizing turnovers and having a disciplined offense. But if you start an offense slower in the post season defenses will spend the extra effort to be set in place, you'll end up scrambling and having to take lower percentage shots late in the clock.

In other words, McMillan depends upon busily outworking the opponent, buzzing around and confusing him. This doesn't work in the playoffs, when the opponent is finally psyched up to give extra effort himself. Clever plays are in order, but in short supply from our coach.

If Hawks lose this one, there will be five teams left in the playoffs and one of them will be the Memphis Grizzlies.

Boring. I have the feeling tomorrow's game will be a boring Thunder win. Sigh.

It is finished. Bulls/Heat starts Sunday. The two teams with the most cap room in 2010. It paid off.

Westbrook/OKC right now.

Dribbledribbledribbledribble drive or flaming bag!

Between Zach being an elite NBA scorer, and Westbrook thinking he is Michael Jordan when he is really a lesser Allen Iverson, OKC is in big trouble.

Westbrook is garbage. Wow. Dribbledribbledribbledribble missed shot!

Fastbreak, Westbrook with the ball, Durant on the wing, Westbrook shoots and misses from 16'!

He rarely gets the ball. Harden has had more touches in the fourth.

Westbrook has been carried by Durant, and now Westbrook thinks he is the star.

...yet, when he has got the ball he's shot 3-12.

Look at his stats for the playoffs, and then talk. Also, post again about Dwight Howard not being an elite "gamechanger". Durant had a tough night. His PG again froze him out of the offense.

Westbrook is killing OKC, as I posted the stats in another thread.

Yet, you go out and say that about Howard. How dumb was that opinion?
