Why has CHI not played Noah or Boozer? Thomas and Gibson were okay for a few possessions, but the other guys are more proven and have more talent.

You need to ask bestcoachever Tom Thibodeau that question. He just sat his best two post players for most of a complete meltdown by the Bulls.

I'm taking Miami in 6 to closeout at home. Dirk is gonna be legendary, but the Heat's defense on DAL's role players is gonna be the difference maker.

Yup, save us Dirk. I really hope the Mavs win, but it's going to take a miracle to derail the Heat train...
 
I have a hard time seeing the Mavs lose to the Heat. The Heat play iso brick ball 100% of the time. The Mavs can actually shoot the ball & they've come a long way with their toughness this year. I don't see them getting intimidated by Bron and Wade.

Most champions do play a lot of ISO ball. Miami is perfect for it because they have two all NBA players that can do it. Both will get the calls from the refs. Kind of hard to double both Lebron and Wade.

ISO ball succeeds when you have great wings players. Kobe, Pierce, Wade, and Michael all played a lot of ISO in the playoffs. Duncan and Hakeem ....not so much because they couldn't dribble.

Hell Rose did to much of the season.

Yeah, Nash would be a great pick if he weren't a horrible defender and non-factor on the boards. In other words, he'd be a great pick if he actually were "well-rounded." :)

Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan are perimeter players comparable to James as all-around players. Pippen, Kobe, Hill, Payton and Kidd also qualify as superstars who were exceedingly well-rounded and unselfish, except James is much better. Bird would qualify if he weren't a liability as an individual defender.

James is a better defender than Magic Johnson was (and probably Robertson, as I've never heard his defense described as elite, but I never saw him play).

Agreed, but they haven't been very consistent. Miami outside of the big 3 doesn't have anybody to fear. Miami has done just enough to win those ugly games, but I don't see Dallas shooting as shitty as any of the Heat's opponents during the playoffs. Bron, Wade, & Bosh aren't going to be able to show up every other game against the Mavs or just in the 4th quarter.

The Bulls play elite team defense, the Mavericks don't. The Heat won defensive struggles with Chicago. Dallas won't pose nearly the defensive challenge Chicago did.

Dallas has a high-caliber offense, but I think Miami does too. The difference is that Miami is an elite defensive team while Dallas isn't.

I think Dallas has a chance, if they (and Nowitzki especially) continue to be unconscious shooting the ball, but I think Miami is the better overall team and is therefore more likely to win.

C edge: Dallas
Bench edge: Dallas

Dallas in 6 is my prediction.

Never dawned on me that it was because they are both black.

Dirk is not the passer Cousy was, but he's better than Havlicek. Walton was better than all of them. My cousin Louie isn't as good, but my albino dog Peanuts is probably the best.

Pippen compared LeBron to Jordan the other day, and said LeBron was better.

He only did it because both players are black. He's a racist.
