Radio play by play is much more difficult than TV play by play.
I think that's debatable. Yes, with radio you have to describe everything, because you know the listeners can't see anything. With TV, you have to strike the right balance between explaining what's happening but not insulting the viewers' intelligence by telling them what they can clearly see. They're inarguably different skills, but I don't know if one is necessarily tougher than the other.

Kevin Calabro was on ESPN radio doing the national broadcast for the Cavs game last night.

He's suited for radio.
Yeah, I have heard him doing a few games during the second round. Haven't heard him make any Seattle references so far...

So apparently Rodney Hood refused to enter the Cavs game last night.
He was told to sub in when the Cavs were up 30, but refused.
Kind of glad he's not a Blazer.

Donovan Mitchell with a 22 point third quarter (24 for the game) has given Utah a 3 point lead at three quarter time.

A quality radio guy can give you a vision of what is going on in the game. The Schonz is the perfect example while the TV guy can rely on the screen to paint that same picture.

Sounds like he won't be a Cav come next year either. That kind of attitude can find you out of the league much quicker than what will eventually happen

Mitchell collided knees with Harden, and is now in the locker room with his shoe off. Season over for Utah.

The Rockets will give the Warriors their first real test since KD was on the Thunder.

Warriors broadcast already discussing how they match up with the Rockets. They were completely ignoring the Pelicans until someone obviously had a word in their earpieces.

Is it wrong that I didn't want Chris Paul to reach the WCF because I wanted to be able to say he never made it that far his whole career?
Well it doesn't matter anymore. He did it and he earned it.

Chris Paul and Harden are two of the most annoying players around, it’s nice they joined forces so it’s easy to hate on a single team. I’m no GS fan but I want GS to tear them to shreds.

Pelicans are getting schooled in this 3rd quarter they’ve used 3 timeouts in less than 4 minutes and have gotten out scores 15-2...

Looks like it will be a gentleman’s sweep for the Pelicans... they looked like they didn’t belong... yet those same Pelicans swept the Blazers and even led by at least 15 points in 3 of 4 games... and still, used car salesman Neil, in his condescending tone, says this season was a success, and wants to bring back same coach and core of Dame/CJ... unbelievable

But we won 1 game more than Pelicans and Jazz in regular season so we must have had a better season than them!!!!

And even though both those teams have younger star players, our 19 years old 14th and 15th man bring our average age down... so season was a success

It can be. The Schonz was the living epitome of the perfect radio guy. And I'd rate Rice as the best TV color man. Each perfected his communication.

I think he is better at radio, probably the best right now, but would have him over most local TV guys.

Man look how good plays the Celtics run, so many easy Baskets around the Rim, no stupid contested 3s like us

Celtics are -1 for the game and Smart intentionally try to miss a FT and it went in.... woo Hoo Winner
