Meh. He'd have made us better in the short-term. The bigger thing I was hoping for was the fact we'd have a perceived "superstar" in Portland and it would raise our credibility and profile. But, ultimately, I don't sweat the decision.

I love Harkless so I don't care that much but he's still a piece of shit

LaLa is married. Melo is not.

If true, that was pretty fucked up.

Cheating on your wife is fucked up. But men cheat on their wives all the time. Especially rich basketball players.

Calling him a POS for that is going a bit too far IMO.

The real piece of shits are the religious leaders who have forced an unnatural monogamy as the norm in an attempt to control human behavior through a patriarchal power system.

Right!?!?

NBA Board passed the draft lottery reform. Goes into effect in 2019. Even though you can predict how it will effect the league, we won't really know for a number of years. Teams will probably still trust the process but with worst results.

Not really. Depends on the relationship. If your girl is in the dark and you cheat on her, you are a piece of shit.

If it's an open relationship It doesnt matter.

Perfect example being Andrei Kirilenko. His wife gave him permission to bang one girl a year while he was out on the road.

I'm tired of players not wanting to come to POR for non-basketball related reasons, so from now on they're all POSs

I think that's an assumption. There's nothing to say that Melo chose OKC/CLE for reasons beyond basketball. I'd wager to say his choice was specifically related to a basketball reason.

I think cheating on your wife is a redeemable quality. Maybe not redeemable to the party cheated on but still redeemable.

You've never cheated?

Nope. And would never do that to someone unknowingly. Communication is key.

I have no problem with an open relationship if both parties are in the know.

I hate liars, so cheating on someone behind their back was always off the table.

Yeah. I can't get down with that. I normally do open relationships, and it doesn't matter then, because it is normal and expected. But, in a monogamous relationship, cheating is completely unacceptable. Have never done it and have never even thought about it.

I've cheated and been cheated on. It sucks but the person is not an irredeemable person because of it.

People can change and become better, so it's not irredeemable. But, cheating to me is a deal breaker. No one is coming back from that, for me.

Kings Extend Vlade Divac Through 19-20

The Sacramento Kings have extended the contract of Vlade Divac as general manager through the 19-20 season.

Divac was hired by the Kings as general manager in 2015.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

I think monogamy is ridiculously unrealistic in modern society (esp athletes who are the most visible and popular in what they do.) Human beings largely look at the top 1 per cent of anything to judge their value. Are you closer to being Lebron, Elon Musk, Bill Gates.... yada yada yada, that which gives us so much status anxiety. Your going to use marriage (which is as much as financial institution as anything now) to stop these guys not to go and sleep around when hundreds of women are scheming to find a way to hook up with them? Grow up. I think if your a famous athlete and you've only screwed around a few times on your spouse you are probably doing a good job.
I have nothing wrong with being open and having multiple partners. But, that needs to be agreed upon by both parties. These guys shouldn't get married then. If you want to travel the country and bang groupies, don't get married. Or, marry someone who is ok with that. Easy solution. That's why I'm not married or in a monogamous relationship right now. I'm a free agent and I'm fine with that.

Lol. I don't even know what to say to the comment above.

People bashing on marriage are just as bad as those bashing on open relationships.

Financial institution? Wow. I'll go home and tell my wife i'm with her for tax purposes and report back how that goes.

You are about to change your Facebook relationship status to "It's Complicated" later tonight.
