In some ways it is so weird to see this tweet with these two names together like that ...
I laughed at seeing those names togethor then me knees exploded

I thought about starting it's own thread but it's such crap that I thought it didn't deserve it's own thread. But for sake of discussion I guess...

" The Indiana Pacers are still in shock following the horrific leg injury that Paul George suffered last Friday night, and are still deciding what to do in the aftermath of the injury. They have been rumored to be pushing hard to sign Shawn Marion, but they have also considered making some trades and trying to break up the core of the team and start over. If the Pacers do decide to make some trades, one of the first players to go will likely be power forward David West.
According to Nate Duncan of Basketball Insiders, the Trail Blazers would be a good fit for West if the Pacers do look to move them as they appear to be considering.

Portland–A potential lottery-protected first-rounder along with relative flotsam could solve Portland’s big man depth problems, but Portland may not want to take on the salary with a chance at cap space in 2015. Or What about CJ McCollum and filler for West? Indy could take a chance at a guard who can score a little more who could be a part of their next good team, although I am not that high on McCollum as a prospect due to his limited athleticism."

Man, I don't really know what to think about this. I really wanted to trade LMA for the #1 pick, and then try to get a PF like West. But West as a back-up? That demotes Robinson. West would certainly make us a lot better, but I want us to develop Robinson. I do think West could be the guy that pushes us from "middling Playoff team" to WCF. But I'm still not sold on this group being able to win the whole thing.

If West is "one of the first players to go," then let's wait till they get to Hibbert.

HOU actually seems like a good fit for West. I'll take Rolo over Roy. Remember this? Don't need that marginal improvement for the much higher cost.

I remember that graph. It has twice as many dots as name labels, unexplained dot colors, and one axis increasing while the other decreases.

Okay, I've thought some more about West, and I think I'd do this.

That would give us a bench 5 of Kaman, West, Claver/Crabbe/Barton, CJ, Blake. Pretty solid! Certainly good enough to give the starters a good deal more rest.

West is also a good guy to have because he's incredibly intense and competitive (like Wesley), which our rather quiet team could do with.

Would Indy do it? Depends on what other offers they got, I guess. But it would certainly help their tanking effort.

I just don't like it. West is 33. I hate to give up someone like Robinson for a guy who is at the tail end of his career. And would West be happy coming off the bench?

What's funny is that the house the young lady is walking by is probably worth $1.5m in the south bay, even with that lawn.

The California housing market is just absurd. A guy once drove me around Palo Alto and he was rattling off house prices. He took me past Steve Young's house and it looks just like a normal 4 bedroom house, but it's worth $2 million. Just crazy.

My brother-in-law and his family live in Los Altos. They expanded the house (single level ranch-style) to 1900 sq. ft about 10 years ago, after they bought it for around $400k in the early '90s. It's worth $2m now. A few years ago, somebody bought a run-down house on their cul de sac for $1.5m, and couldn't afford to water the lawn so they just let it die. To compare, we bought our larger house in Tualatin 10 years ago for under $300k, and then 2 years later our next-door neighbors bought their similar house for $550k. Prices have leveled off, though.

I'm guessing that was Lin's mom in the kitchen dunk? Looks like a fun family.

Palo Alto is either the 1st or 2nd most expensive city (not town) in the country, that's really not a surprise - but, housing prices in attractive areas in CA are very high, supply and demand, as usual... The bay area, in general is very expensive. Lived in Marin county for a year before moving to Socal - and it was an expensive proposition... (not that Socal is the model of affordability, but it is better than the bay area).

People often have that reaction in the Bay Area. It's the land that's so expensive. You could have a shack with a rusted-off door on a piece of land in the South Bay or Peninsula and it would be worth $1 million plus.

Yeah, just a empty lot is probably 1.5 million.

Knicks acquired Travis and Quincy Acy. At one point the trade was to include my fave, Pablo Prigioni. Now:

Portland has some pretty absurd housing prices going on as well. Especially North and Northeast. My grandma just sold her small old house that my dad grew up in St. Johns for a little over $300k. Were talking a small house, the interior hasn't been touched in over 50 years. The worst schools in Portand in the area and as much as people say St. Johns has changed (which it has) the area she lived is not desirable. Redonky Donk!

That's happening everywhere in the metro. Eastmoreland value is going to skyrocket with a little help from the city and the 2035 plan.

It's a crime that Travis Outlaw is making the money that he is.

The poster child for overvaluing wingspan+verical leap.

Felton suspended for 5 games, just enough time for him to get even more out of shape.
