Dame doesn’t like to push it so much.I wouldn't want Mike D'Antoni and his no defense/run and gun/can't win in the playoffs system. He's like a worse version of Stotts in my opinion unless the goal is regular season wins. I know he's won more in the playoffs but he's had much much more talent to work with throughout his career. That being said, fire Stotts... just don't hire D'Antoni.
If this is the case and with D'Antoni's penchant for offense only players maybe we could get Oladipo, McConnell and some draft considerations (future picks and/or this year's second rounder). I know Oladipo comes with risks (injury and having to re-sign him) but he's a much better fit next to Dame plus we get a good back up PG in McConnell. Then maybe use our whole MLE on potential because I think we could get Thon Maker, Josh Jackson and Derrick Jones Jr. to come in at an even split of the MLE which would be like 3.2 million a piece and hopefully we could sign them for two or three years and at least one or two of them would make huge gains even by the time the NBA is playing again.Rumor has it Indiana Pacers are waiting for Mike.
Agreed, way overrated. Couldn’t even get the CP3, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan Clippers to the conference finals. Is Rivers that good of a coach?
He was more than fortunate with Celts and now has a loaded team yet doesn't seem to inspire his team.
Way overrated imo.
Not an all timer like some have said but I'd take him every day over Stotts... I know that's not the highest bar but if he were available after this off season (which he won't be) he'd be a good get for us.Is Rivers that good of a coach?

Hasn't seemed to like to push it but is that Dame or is it Stotts? We just don't know for sure. I've heard Dame say they were planning on pushing it more and then never seen it happen but we just can't know if that's Dame's personal style or Stotts in his ear his whole career telling him to be deliberate as a floor general. The only thing we know is that if Stotts was asking politely for Dame to pick up the pace and Dame was hesitant, then it would never happen because Stotts doesn't even hold his players to one degree of accountability. I think Dame seems incredibly coachable we just happen to employ a guy with the title head coach that doesn't really coach... he just floats out ideas or at least that's how I perceive it. Who the fuck really knows with everyone being so goddamn polite?Dame doesn’t like to push it so much.
I have noticed for the last couple years when Dame has been hurt we seem to push it more with CJ, Mario, Simons and even Turner way back.Hasn't seemed to like to push it but is that Dame or is it Stotts? Im not sure he'd do any better than Stotts with the same players. Who knows? Not an all timer like some have said but I'd take him every day over Stotts... I know that's not the highest bar but if he were available after this off season (which he won't be) he'd be a good get for us.

No opposed to a change just not Doc. He's only a bit over 500 in playoff games.Well, there's only one way to find out.

Status-quoers are frozen into inactivity whenever there's the slightest risk.
If the Pacers got D'Antoni I would think they would want to keep Oladipo. If this is the case and with D'Antoni's penchant for offense only players maybe we could get Oladipo, McConnell and some draft considerations (future picks and/or this year's second rounder). And they had a 3-1 lead in that second round series too,Agreed, way overrated. Couldn’t even get the CP3, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan Clippers to the conference finals.
We clearly missed Ariza and Hoodie in the playoffs...glaringlyRockets are awful. Then again, we were too.
Wait, if it cant be anyone but Stotts, then how can I take a risk. If I was allowed to take any coach in the game it would be Spo because Eric Spoelstra is both one of the top 3 coaches in the game and although he wasn't born in Portland he is a true Oregonian. I know Spo is not a realistic option because he's with the Heat so my risky pick is Jason Kidd. Oh I know I'm gonna get killed for this one but one Hall of Fame Oakland point guard coaching another is just really cool to me. I think he'll be coming off of a championship as a Lakers assistant. The guy has coached an old as hell Nets team to the second round of the playoffs and was crucial in the development of the guy who is now considered the best player in the league. He led the Bucks to the playoffs two out of three seasons and the season he missed the playoffs he was out for a month... they didn't do more poorly in his absence but I think continuity of leadership is important. I think him getting that team, as young as it was, right around .500 every season was about right and if he were coaching them today and had been developing them and the team's schemes I actually think they'd still be in these playoffs... now if he was still coach/gm today I'm not so sure. I think his time with the Lakers as an assistant shows that he's not so power hungry and controlling anymore and would be a great fit here. He is a players coach but he's never shied away from conflict as a player or a coach. He will hold guys accountable and if guys won't adjust and improve I think his recommendations to Neil will be a lot more direct and helpful in getting a team that is a more cohesive two way winning unit.No opposed to a change just not Doc. He's only a bit over 500 in playoff games.
So tell me, who would you like to see as coach and it cant be anyone but Stotts. Take a risk.
