I watched the Clipper/Utah game. Blake Griffin does jump out of the gYm. Unbelievable. A lob anywhere close to the basket is money.

But he is no all star yet. All his points are hustle points. Down the stretch of close games he is basically a really good role player. No go-to moves and a shitty free throw shooter. I would love to have him on the Blazer team. He fills a stat sheet. (He had 30 pts tonight) But he was useless in crunch time. He plays with so much energy, but he is no all star. Yet....

I watched that game as well and I agree with your analysis. It really sucks that he can't shoot free throws for shit. He gets fouled a lot.

I caught a little bit of the game. Saw the stat that he has the most 20/10 games in the NBA this year. Not bad for only a rookie. I think it also said he's the first big man to average 20/10 as a rookie since Shaq.

Special.

How 'bout Philly just killin PHX on the home court. Vince launched 20 shots in his first game!

Not really. He does shoot (and miss) a lot of FTs though. He's Stern's new poster boy. He gets the benefit of a lot of questionable calls. Anyone breathes on him and it's an automatic whistle. Yet, he's over the back or pushing off on almost every offensive rebound (just ask Andre Miller) and NEVER gets called for it. If he gets this kind of treatment from the refs two months into his rookie season, wait until he's had a couple years of the Stern hype machine pimping him.

That's what I meant. Watching the game I could easily tell how much the refs favor him already.

Man I don't know how Juwan Howard still has a job.

He keeps himself in the same shape as a 21-year-old. During the preseason, I posted a NY Times article about how impressed and surprised the Miami Heat team and management were.

I can't find it now. In fact, this board's search function claims I haven't used the term "Juwan Howard" in any of my posts of the last 3 months.

The Lakers sure don't look anything near the team they were last year.

Kobe is 32 but he's an old 32 coming into the league at only 17 and it's showing.

Any word on how serious Carone Butlers injury is? I hear partial torn so far, but nothing further.

Also heard last night Brandon Bass might have to go under the knife. Both of those injuries are going to hurt those teams.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The Charlotte Bobcats will be without starting small forward Gerald Wallace(notes) against Miami after he aggravated an existing left ankle injury in practice.

Wallace was ruled out at shootaround Monday, a day after he re-injured the ankle that caused him to miss five games last month. Coach Paul Silas says Wallace will be out “a few games.”

Yea but they brought Steve Blake on board this year, who was clearly going to play better now that he was a Laker. :ohno:

Love on pace for a 20pt, 30reb game against the Celtics.

I'm watching this. Good game. Marty is playing well also!

Of course Boston at home is getting all kinds of calls.

The Wolves just have no kind of offense!

If they did, your boy The Love Boat wouldn't have all the rebounds he gets.

I mean they let the C's get back into the game while Beasley sits on the bench! I could imagine what this place would be like if Rambis was OUR couch!

I'm watching the game too. Beasley has been in the game since Boston has gone on its run.

Well, only 5 of his 24 rebounds tonight were offensive. So, he should thank the Boston offense for the other 19.

Nah, with a win tonight they might relax when we come thru. I always root for the team we are about to play to win right before they see us. Had the Mavs just lost in Cleveland last night, they might be a little extra pumped for us.
