OKC, NOH, and MEM all lose tonight. A POR win would be awesome. We can both put distance between us and the Grizzlies, and set our sights solely at OKC and homecourt.

CoolStandings now predicts Memphis 45.2 wins, Portland 44.9. We're 8th place.

Before tonight, it was us 45.6, them 45.5. We were 7th.

Looks like predictors had expected us to beat Atlanta, and San Antonio to beat Memphis.

Bad news...

Nuggets did what we couldnt... beat hawks at home and now are 2 games ahead of us

Suns WON AGAIN and are within 2 games of us.

Jazz thankfully lost but at this rate we could be joining them. Jazz are 2 and a half back as free fall continues. just 3 games over 500. A month ago they were almost 11 over 500.

Interesting--my ESPN.com page says that they are one game ahead of us. I wonder what's wrong with my internet...

not updated my friend

Sure it is. I just look at more than just the win column. 2 wins ahead, even in the loss column, equals 1 game ahead total. It's called mocking--you should be used to it by now.

The Thunder pay $8.5m per year for Perkins for 4 years. Smart move for them - and pretty much puts the top-number on Oden's extension for any team that is actually reasonable. I think it is very likely that Oden will be extended at a $6-7m per year for 3 years after that - which would be a good investment for Portland.

WTF is up with CP3?

Jose Caleron OWNED Chris Paul tonight.

22 pts
16 ast
7 rebs

CP3

7 pts
5 ast
3 rebs

'Melo: 25 pts on 24 shots.

The Knicks offense: Two guys taking turns hogging the ball.

The Suns are in the middle of a 16-0 run in Boston. They were down 29.

Make that 18-0.

suns and hornets lose.

anything helps.

but who cares if we cant beat the fucking kings.

There's no way that the Hornets finish with a better record than us. They're simply not that good.

And if/when they don't, half this board will tar and feather cho for trading away the Hornets pick, instead of our own this season.

Observation a Pistons fan made...

Kevin Love actually started taking the ball up the court in the final minutes so the Pistons would intentionally foul him so he would get 20-20

Lol

KD's injury looked bad. He did not return to the game after it.

So defensive

lol

what was defensive about that. Seriously, there's Mixum's for every fanbase. I'm sure we make observations all the time that other fanbases would get a chuckle out of.

dante not off to a good start for charlotte. first 2 games 1-8 with zero rebounds in 18 minutes.

but it's probably hard to motivate yourself

Wow, people sure go out of their way to bash Kevin Love. It was actually pretty smart basketball. Detroit was fouling for a reason - to stop the clock and hope Minnesota misses some FTs. Minnesota had the following 5 players on the court at the time:

Code:
Kevin Love Total FTA = 430 FT% = 0.867
Lazar Harward Total FTA = 24 FT% = 0.833
Jonny Flynn Total FTA = 22 FT% = 0.818
Anthony Tolliver Total FTA = 82 FT% = 0.805
Wesley Johnson Total FTA = 67 FT% = 0.657

So Love haters, you tell me, of those five players, which one would you want shooting FTs to ice the game with the other team intentionally fouling to stop the clock?

Seems pretty obvious to me. Love is, by far, the most experienced FT shooter of those five (I mean, seriously, he's shot 2.5x as many FTs as the other four combined), and he shoots the highest percentage.

Hate on, haters.

I feel bad for Cunningham. Because of our injuries, he had carved out a nice role for himself here. Now that he's left Portland, I bet his career ends soon. Sad.

Nate knows how to get the best out of his players, and puts them in roles where they can succeed.

I'm not sure who has the least sense of humor in this thread.

Zags or Boob-No-More.

I have to go with Boob. Zags, you win this one. Only Boob would make a fucking paragraph defending KLove with linked stats to answer a throwaway joke about Kevin Love from another board.

Imagine Boob at a party. He has to be an engineer of some sort.

We aren't catching Denver. Root against suns, grizz, rockets, hornets and jazz

Crazy game in London. Triple OT, and Travis Outlaw drops the last 8 points for the Nets to push them to victory over Toronto.

Final score: 137-136
