Never use highlight videos to judge a player son, you know that.

Of course not, but I was hoping to see something more than him just making shots almost anyone I played college ball with could make if left that wide open. Once he was guarded, or had to put the ball on the floor, it turned sour in a hurry. Of course he can get better, but so far, nothing special. Looks more like someone you call after the Draft to be an UDFA choice.

One can see some things on a highlight video... like that CJ is a confident 6'6ish lefty jumpshooter with a quick release & is decently athletic. Don't know whether he can play or not, but seeing a couple vids I'm not without hope that he might be a player.

I did not watch too many WSU games last season, but I did watch the ones against Oregon, and Elleby dominated the one in the Palouse back in January.....going 25/14.

Are there any other CJ's in the league or have we cornered the market?

Watching highlights.... Dude reminds me of RoLo, if RoLo were shorter and had to be a SG/SF instead of a C.

(Can we call those "highlights"?)

I'll give Olshey credit - the whole Scrubb business was a beautiful bit of misdirection. The obvious question is why he bothered? Was it just some sort of prank?

Maybe Neil was genuinely intrigued but after every time he did some bit of scouting or an interview or watched a workout he still wasn't sure what Scrubb was. Then at the end of the process he decided that Scrubb was in Neil's assessment either not going to be good in the league or wasn't right for our team.

ESPN went to a commercial when we selected him. Then came back out and went on to next pick, and so on. Backtracked to talk about some dude name Yam (maybe they were hungry for thanksgiving dinner, turkey and Yamms), then continued on to newer picks. Went back to NBC Sports NW, and there was no live cut in on Portland's pick, so i was like WTF?. I know we will hear about CJ soon, but ESPN never even acknowledged him. I hate that chit. I'm not predicting anything cause many of these picks, including 1st rounders won't ever make an impact. He could be a diamond in the rough. We will find out. But welcome CJ.

My guess is that they were not prepared/ expecting to talk about him.
