Damn, another player that allows his sister to do his hair. He's got quite a hairdo. View attachment 35057
Uh, this is NOT what you want to see describing a player's shot mechanics. https://www.blazersedge.com/2020/11...ington-state-second-round-pick-2020-nba-draft
"On the mechanics front, Elleby’s lefty jumper often starts with a cross-body gather that is similar to Lonzo Ball’s original form. From there, his release resembles Al-Farouq Aminu’s over-the-head, catapult-style launch."
That is like combining Rosanne Barr and Steve Bucemi to be a SI Swimsuit cover model.
Yeah, that would not be a pretty sight. Thankfully the writer is completely wrong on that particular assessment.
Damn, I was hoping it was poor shot mechanics that led to 39% shooting from the field.
Watching Elleby and looking at his numbers, his usage rate was insanely high. likely a byproduct of being on a bad team and having to take on a role he’s not tailor made for. Big reason for his up and down percentages imo. Off the ball he shows real potential though. Could be another Trent/Crabbe in that way.
But they did note he was sixth in the Pac 12 for rebounding; that's pretty impressive for a guy 6'6".Uh, this is NOT what you want to see describing a player's shot mechanics. https://www.blazersedge.com/2020/11...ington-state-second-round-pick-2020-nba-draft

You clearly were not around for the '77 Blazers Championship - instead of the celebration and interviews with the players, they cut to golf....ESPN went to a commercial when we selected him. Then came back out and went on to next pick, and so on. Backtracked to talk about some dude name Yam (maybe they were hungry for thanksgiving dinner, turkey and Yamms), then continued on to newer picks. Went back to NBC Sports NW, and there was no live cut in on Portland's pick, so i was like WTF?. I know we will hear about CJ soon, but ESPN never even acknowledged him. I hate that chit. I'm not predicting anything cause many of these picks, including 1st rounders won't ever make an impact. He could be a diamond in the rough. We will find out. But welcome CJ.

. He scored well against Oregon (who didn't), but that's the entirety of my knowledge about him. Pretty underwhelming overall, but probably to be expected at 46...
Seattle guard that plays a lot like Klay did there. Stats are very similar and they are identical size. No way he ends up as good as Klay, but nobody saw Klay coming either.
I think he will give Anfernee a challenge.
