Turning Points finally announced the "star studded" lineup for their alternate "Christian American" halftime show. (Bad Bunny is both Christian and American but the wrong kind.) Kid Rock, has been for decades. Two country singers who have not been on charts in over five years but are MAGA culture war soldiers. A Christian singer whose best showing was #26 on Christian music chart. She did sing First Noel at White House Christmas tree lighting where she specified she was singing for Trump.

Yep. This is pretty much how I feel. Had no idea who Bad Bunny was until he was announced for super bowl halftime and MAGA started throwing a fit.

And I really like country music.

But this halftime show was great. Didn't understand a word of it, but I didn't feel like I needed to (honestly I generally don't understand the lyrics for most halftime shows).

It was as enjoyable as any halftime show that I can remember ever watching.

I have never heard a Bad Bunny song, nor did I watch even a minute of the game. And I find it actually amusing AF how big of a deal people even make of the halftime show. But the shit fit by the MAGAts over Bad Bunny, his lyrics, his non whiteness, blah, blah, blah is just more mega hypocrisy from a bunch of clueless, unselfaware shit stains who have perfected the art of hypocrisy. I am ashamed to admit I own two Kid Rock CDs. One actually has a couple of decent songs, but the second one is pure unadulterated sewage. Kid Rock is one of the most filthy minded, misogynistic, turnip for a brain dirtbags out there. The man literally advocated for child rape in song!! Or sang about "how I'm gonna fuck you like I'm never gonna see you again". Yet in the twisted Trump/TPUSA world, he is the perfect centerpiece for a patriotic, faith based dog and pony show. None of these people are playing with even a shred of sanity. And this is the America we should be proud of and want to get back to??? Time to redefine ICE's mission, and put them to work hunting down and deporting these people. They do not belong in America and we will be a much better place without them.

Elian was not detained at gunpoint. The way in which he was removed was wrong and excessive but the only ones detaining him were Miami relatives looking for 15 minutes of fame. Elian was returned to his father. He had been removed from Cuba illegally (taking minor out of Cuba requires consent of both parents if living and father did not consent). There was no reason to suspect any child abuse or neglect by his father. No justification for keeping Elian here. The fact that someone might think this is a better country to live in than Cuba isn't relevant.
