...but the good news is, it's RISEN with Denny by exactly that amount, so it balances out!

Weird how all we hear is stuff about all these things Trump is doing for us and it still falls.

Oh wait, the entire narrative is about Comey and Russia every day.

Seems going after the administration as you folks do is driving this. But there is the reality.

Geez this forum has slumped! The highpoint of the day now is a post by barf. Then we get to see how high Denny can punt his arse.

It's not the post that counts, it's the punt.

He's still more popular than democrats or republicans.

He's not the president the people need but he sure is the one we deserve.

Certain people ridiculed the intelligence of GW Bush, Reagan, and Ike. It's nothing new.

All three won a 2nd term.

Sure he did. The things he wrote during that time are some of the most thoughtful of any president. Ever.
like regretting the fact that the nation under his administrations and tax cuts went from a creditor nation to a debtor nation? like that ultimately they had to reinstate over half if the initial tax cuts that he is revered by republicans for, because we went from $997bilion dollars in debt to $2.85 trillion under his watch? that trickle down economics proved to be a fallacy long term? to bad he isn't around still. I liked him as our president. but history hasn't been as kind to his fiscal policies. still he was the right man for the job when the country needed him. I voted for him twice and he did make us proud of our country at the time.

We weren't a creditor nation. Jimmy Carter left Reagan that $997B debt. Debt means you're not a creditor, you're a debtor.

Trickle down government gave us $10T in debt over the past 8 years. PR campaigns work, but look at the facts.

Government (yearly) revenue DOUBLED in his 8 years. Congress tripled spending. It was a deliberate act of sabotage, too (every one of his budgets declared DOA by congress and not even considered). Reaganomics relied upon cutting spending. He constantly was asking for a line item veto and balanced budget amendment.

The economy Reagan inherited was in the "days of malaise" (Carter's own assessment). Double digit inflation and interest rates approaching 20%. Unemployment sky high, too. Social Security was bankrupt.

PR campaigns work. But look at the facts.

agree about shitty economy under carter, I think a better way to equate trickle down economics to the present day is the failing Kansas under brownback experiment. you can cut taxes and subsequently cut revenues but the pain in public programs cuts is more than people will tolerate.http://www.econdataus.com/taxcuts.html
some good reading there in the article for you. shows in your favorite graphs what the tax cuts and revenues were. for a fact government revenues had been doubling every decade previous and those graphs show that the revenues decreased over what they should have been.

There's your tax receipts.

Doubled. Without any math tricks.

I stand by it.

your first arrow is a little misleading, at the very least, if one remembers that Reagan didn't take office till 1981. I said revenues under performed in direct comparison to previous decades where they had doubled every 10 years. not that they hadn't increased. so what was your point. they did not double under reagan

Last time you started a republican party is doomed kind of thread, they won all three branches of government.

I think someone is going to be disappointed again.
