Once again, our good friend across the pond, Romain Brunet of Au Rebond, is reporting that the news out of Portland is all good for Nicolas Batum and his ailing shoulder.

Nicolas Batum has made his express trip to Portland and back for nothing. The director of the French Team, Patrick Beesley, Announced in the late morning that the Blazers had looked at Batum's shoulder and also saw the DVD of Batum's highlights concocted by the French staff. The verdict was simple: The player is fit to practice basketball.............................

Without Batum in the froggy's line up Finland got by France 77 to 73 in a meaningless last group game today. Looks like France just needs to beat Bosnia to get into the main tourney as the 16th team now.

Btw, PeKo had a decent game with 15/4/4.

Finland was out before this game, but yes, they're not going to make the tourney. They play Italy on Thursday in another meaningless game.
