In the AP they are still outside the top 25. Yet many teams in it are not as good.

It's the loss to EWU and late start times. I'm fine with it though. We have a damn good team.
They'll get in the top 25 if they keep winning. They should be in now, but whatever...
Hey, they're our little brothers to the north.
It's too bad... they'll lose to Stanford next week and that will kill their chances of being ranked.

I think OSU may upset the Cards.
They have beaten one team with a winning record.... one team.

Keep in mind, this is the team that lost to Eastern Washington. Mike Riley needs to clean this stuff up. This has been a problem since he took over years ago.
Mike Riley needs to clean what up? One or two losses? That is an unreasonable exception, the Beavers football program continues to outperform schools with more resources. Compare it to programs like WSU, Cal, both Arizona schools, even UofW. OSU basketball has the same resources and look at those terrible results over the last 20 years.
I think some duck fans have lost their perspective. Its not normal to have a recent run like they are having and all those top programs eventually have poor seasons.

It's not the fact that they lose games. Nobody expects them to be a perennial top 10 team. It's the fact that they always seem to start out the year light years behind where they should be, losing games to inferior teams. Riley may well be the best in-season coach in the country. But it's definitely arguable that he's not a very good pre-season coach.
Bah! It's been said before, but worth repeating. With all the OSU talent that ends up playing on Sunday, Riley may be the best coach at accomplishing the least with the most.
Two years ago we lost to Sac State, but we were a 9 loss team. Last year my Beavs opened the season beating a #13 Badger team and a #19 UCLA team on the road.
Hey I'm sure Riley would love to win every game as much as fans like me. It takes time for his teams to grasp the concepts they are teaching which leads to more late season success and less early season success. When you are one of the few colleges running a pro style offense with NFL gameplans there will always be a learning curve. Should Riley try to get more early season non-conference wins at the expense of performing well at the end of the year?
Huh? The Beavers consistently rank at the bottom of the conference in recruiting. Yet a lot of their players end up in the NFL. A few years they have been tied with USC having the most players drafted. You think that reflects poorly on the OSU program?
