I’m willing to push in all our chips to put him next to Dame under Billups. I have faith the two of them can get his head on straight if anyone in the league can it’s Dame and Billups. I’m open to Siakam for cheaper, but if Simmons is our sole shot at a huge upgrade you do it. Otherwise, we might just “run it back” and surely THAT is a worse proposition.
I want to add that in this scenario if Simmons ends up being as bad as some think we can still trade Dame and Simmons and blow it up. As opposed to trading Dame and CJ when you blow it up. I’m certain Simmons and Dame give us a better haul.

His refusal to expand his game or to work with team trainers or shooting consultants in the offseason seems to suggest the same.

I'm starting to come around to the perspective of those on the board who are opposed to dealing for him. I mean, he'd be the most talented teammate Dame's ever had, but would it make a difference if he doesn't have the heart necessary to maximize that talent?

There isn't really an option without warts.

Siakam is injured.
Simmons is mentally broken.
Kawhi is out for the year (not that we could get him)

Who else is out there?

Greg Oden! Oh yeah.

Luis Montero! oooh, wait...

Bradley Beal! Oooh...

It's justa question of which warts do you want. Honestly, "get Draymond in a 3-way deal" seems to be the lowest risk option I've seen (if it even is an option).

Of course, none of it matters with Olshey in charge.

yea, just move the team away from Portland if NO is in charge still. happy campers!

According to him, Ben with Philly is a marriage beyond repair. He sees Toronto, he sees Portland, he's not going into that situation. Ben being the young socialite he is is open to California teams. Joel Embiid has reached out to him several times since the end of the season. He hasn't returned Joel Embiid's calls. It'd be hard to come back in Philly even if he wanted to given the way the Philly fanbase abuse him now.

I'm getting real tired of the NBA's bullshit. What other sport has divas like this?

So does that mean he's not interested in Toronto or Portland but only Cal?

So, we're supposed to take the word of a San Francisco sports reporter named Jason Dumass as gospel? Might he be just a tad prejudiced towards wanting Simmons to play for the Warriors?

It's funny watching the 76ers pretend like they have control over this situation.

Simmons agent needs to slap him upside the head and give him a reality check. I honestly only want players in Portland who want to be here..that's the bottom line ..sounds like this rich 25 year old athlete has disco fever...
If thats his feelings, I dont want him in pdx. Ive watched his doc and it seemed he was always unsure about what he wanted and his fam has a whole lot of influence on him especially his older sis.

I was on the fence about Ben ..... NOT ANYMORE

Screw Simmons not as much cause he does not want to come to Pdx but more the fact I now believe he may NEVER get it so F' em ( sorry to be so blunt )

Finally some good news. Didn't want a subpar player in Simmons. Thank god.

What's the news? A Bay Area sports radio host, Bay Area writer for B/R and local news sports guy said he thinks that Simmons would be "open" to the Warriors. Do you see how that's not exactly news? Simmons has never complained about where he was or made a statement about not wanting to be in certain places and this guy says about here and Toronto, "He's not really trying to go to those situations." WTF does that mean? In context he was talking about not wanting to go to a bad situation not a bad city. If that trade gets made and Dame gets on the phone with Simmons, that guy will be all in.

Hey PDX bros, did you know we are both 'bad situation' brothers?

What a guy this Ben Simmons is.
That's not a Ben Simmons quote, it's a Bay Area sports talk show extrapolating on things he's heard that tilt the narrative towards the Warriors being Simmons' only destination. Just trying to make a name even if it's synonymous with Henry Abbott and at the same time get Bay Area listeners to tune in. That's all there is to this.

We will see about that. But right now he's acting like a douchebag. I'm OK with a lot of stuff, but Don't Tread On PDX.

Simmons hasn't said a word... Jason Dumas isn't attributing anything he said about the Simmons story as a quote. Also he said the Blazers and Raptors were bad team situations... what the dude was making up about Simmons wasn't even that he didn't like the cities. Read his article on B/R. It's obvious that he was doing his radio show and trying to get more listeners because getting Simmons there is according to Dumas now likely... it's radio show bullshit.

Well he sure made it sound like that came from Ben. Are you sure he's not Ben's Chris Haynes.
