More like Revelation...as in end times.

I see your point. John felt that young people were the key and then happenings with the war, MLK & protest should be a spring board to Change The World besides just protesting and rallies.
He was for the younger generation infiltrating society than make the changes along the way. If Bernards troops would grasp by voting in big numbers, and not being so critical of others and ways, they may be able to change the world the way John felt it should be. Peace Love Flowers and Beads. Summer of Love!

Clearly Trumpers will say dementia in 2020 the same way they said email in 2016. To distract from their unqualified, deranged, vicious god emperor and his list of failures.

What would be your suggestion for a Bernie Production song?

Come and listen to a story about a man named Bern
A poor Senateer, always kept his visage stern,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And out from the tree came a bubblin crude.

Syrup that is, black gold, Vermont tea.

Well the first thing you know ol Bern's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Bern move away from there"
Said "White House is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to DC.

Washington, that is. Swampy pools, hotel bars.

thats terrific...lol

You're certainly entitled to that opinion. No problem. One dictionary defines stiffed as "being snubbed", so I'll go with that one.

At any rate, the fix is on. :)

So conservatives fear and hate Sanders "socialism" but also mock that he was snubbed and robbed? If you really thought he was the most popular candidate who was dangerous to America then you would be happy the establishment moved against him. Or do you want the most popular candidate to get the nomination because you care about fair elections? Neither scenario seems likely to me when it comes from a conservative view point, its just division tactic used to undermine the opposition.

Nah, I'm just saying the Dem powers-that-be have done everything in their power to keep Bernie out of the mix, knowing that he didn't stand a chance against the incumbent.

From your perspective, shouldn't that be a good thing?

I know you dont like my political stances, but from my perspective its a bad thing. Even if I am not a Bernie fan, if his popularity is enough to get him elected then he should be elected. I think there is some irony about the the democratic establishment IMO kind of fixing things against Bernie, and then complaining about what they believe is things being tampered with and fixing things in the election, but its really not that funny.

I still say that Bernie at least really talks about stuff that needs to be dealt with, discussed, worked out, and I appreciate him and his fans for that, I actually have come around to thinking he could maybe beat Trump too. I kind of think, Biden isnt interested in really working on solutions for some of the problems that younger generations face right now.

Well, at any rate, we'll all be standing by watching that someone else march his way towards Washington....

Oh, and don't think SNL won't be having some fun. Lots and lots of fun...

I have no idea who or what your first source is and your second source is Saturday Night Live. That's two nothings, as far as I'm concerned.

Don't you think Bernie's popularity should be determined by the vote? That would rule out the caucus where he gained a lot of his delegates.

If Bernie's popularity was enough to get him elected he would have won primaries. He had early wins in a crowded field, except for Nevada he won with 30 to 35 percent. When the field shrank he stayed at the same percentage. He's been running for president for seven years or so and hasn't really widened his coalition except he did add young LatinX voters, but Black voters, older voters, suburban and college women not on board. His support is deep, people who like him really like him, but not wide.

So, before super tuesday if all those candidates dont drop out, Bernie probably wins. If they all back out and endorse him he definitely wins, instead they all back out and endorse a guy who was basically floundering. I realize thats politics part of his “job” is to get support from his own “party”, though he’s not even really a democrat, but it sure seems like there was a lot going on behind the scenes to make sure he didnt win. Cause even say 1 or 2 of those candidates drop and endorse Bernie he probably wins then too. Yes people still had the chance and they voted for Biden, and so Biden should win, but it sure looks interesting from the outside...

Or maybe those who dropped out had more in common than Biden than with Bernie. Could this just be possible?
Or, again on the flip side, maybe the deep state was at work. Yeah, that's gotta be it. It simply can't be that the people actually prefer Biden.

It's fascinating to me that there are people who were insisting that Sanders was a niche candidate espousing unpopular things and are now insisting that he was the people's candidate but got tanked by the Democratic establishment.

Sanders wasn't my first choice, but I liked him more than Biden. So I was neither all-in on the revolution nor am I a hater. From that perspective, I don't see anything untoward done by the Democratic party. Some people are acting like candidates who have no chance to win being pressured to leave the field is brand new and dreamed up just to get Sanders.

Sure, the establishment largely doesn't want Sanders to head the ticket--they have every right to endorse whomever they want. The establishment, almost by definition, is not going to move in a certain direction as fast as the most extreme elements. As one of those "most extreme elements" (a lot of you would be horrified by what I'd want if I were dictator, though it's not particularly extreme by world standards), I'm well-aware that you don't create change by "revolution" in a democracy. Democracy moves slowly--you create change over time by winning people over to a certain worldview. A "Sanders agenda" never had a chance in one election cycle, one Presidential term or one two-term Presidency. The fact that he has what crandc called a "deep but not wide" constituency is actually promising. He's got a committed chunk of the electorate on his side, which is the start. Now he and like-minded people have to widen that over time and drag the establishment there. They have to become the establishment. That will take some time, but that's how it happens in our system.

I'd say that's ALL of his job as candidate. He didn't do well enough at his job. Neither did 26 other candidates. Is it also a conspiracy that Marianne Williamson didn't win? She would have, after all, if she had been the one who got more votes and some well-timed, important endorsements.

No one is really acting the way you’re describing though, even if you create some fictional amalgam of all the people here who are claiming it looks weird you’re still putting a lot of words in peoples mouth that they aren't really saying.
I think Bernie’s views are mostly representative of the extreme left, I also think both parties over time have gone further and further towards the extremes. I dont know if he was the people’s choice, but I definitely know he wasn't the establishments choice, and that the party he’s running in the elites do not want him, like I said Biden is getting the votes now with the endorsements so yes he deserves to win.

Ive never read a single person on this site say that people dropping out of a race and giving endorsements is new, but some of the people who dropped out were doing a heck of a lot better than Biden was at the time.

You guys keeps saying conspiracy, but I never claimed it was, so I dont really need to defend myself on something I didnt say.
I think whats more interesting than the Bernie aspect is that Biden to that point had looked dead in the water and then everyone dropped out and endorsed him.

Didnt say a thing about the deep state, and I said Biden got the votes and deserves to win in that aspect.

Let's rephrase that. Some of the peopl who dropped out were doing better than Biden in certain states. Take Nevada for example. You can also point to Iowa. Apparently you can't point to Texas or Michigan. You can't even point to Warren's home state of Massachusetts. You certainly can't point to South Carolina. Yeah, Bernie won some small states and at least a couple caucus states where the political machine reigns supreme which really flies in the face of the deep state manipulation to favor Biden.

I cannot lie, it's true that you never uttered the actual words deep state.
Also, what other aspect should we count? Seems like the vote total is pretty fair to me.

Such a joke. Don't know how anyone can take Joe seriously. Especially after Donald.

Up to that point most of the states you mentioned hadnt done anything though, and its totally fair that maybe Biden was going to win all those states anyways I dont know. The Establishment did not want Bernie to win, and thats fine thats their prerogative, I find the decision for them all to back Biden strange though, why not Pete, or Amy (who wasnt doing anything anyways), but you’re just going to keep acting like Im trying to be a conspiracy theorist, when Im not. I am rather clearly stating I have found the process rather interesting and I don't quite understand the Democrats strategy in who they have chosen to get behind, but if it works then thats good.

I am basically trying to say, I really dont get the party going all in on Biden. Up to that point he was kind of doing nothing, they were banking on the carolina’s for Biden (just to keep him in the race) then they all dropped and flocked to Biden and I dont get why, I think there were better candidates over there.
I know they didnt really want to go with Bernie and I get it that was / is a strange marriage, where he bad mouths the Democratic establishment and they seem to not want him either, but the decision to have everyone drop and endorse Biden is so strange to me.

Blaming the 'establishment' for Biden's success is unfounded and smacks of a Democratic tinkering that is best described as a conspiracy to have Biden beat out Bernie. No, you never explicitly said this. However, I think it's fair to warn you that I have two college degrees and paid the University of Trump good money for both degrees. I earned them the hard way, with cold hard cash.

Biden did not look dead after S. Carolina. He looked very much alive.
Once it was established that the black vote was going to go overwhelmingly for Biden, and the youth vote was not going to bother voting, the outcome was clear.
When Pete and Amy realized they had no chance of winning, they did the midwestern sensible thing, which was to make the best decision for their own careers.

Lol, ok that was pretty good. I guess I just dont really understand why Biden was the candidate they all picked. At that point, I do believe they wanted to consolidate and keep Bernie from winning (this is my conspiracy theory I guess...), but my main point is I thought there were better candidates to get behind than Biden who it appeared was struggling to that point. So I just found very odd that he was the one they all got behind, but it will probably work, so I guess, thats fine.
