So against teams over .500 not named the Lakers they are 8-0. I don't know how that makes me feel.

Well, one of those wins was against a team named the Lakers, so factor that into your consternation.

Who do we trade CJ for? Is there a Kawhi equivalent who will be available in the summer? Terry in line to get fired after we lose to Lebron in the playoffs? ugh

Disgruntled superstar with a year left on his contract. Welcome Anthony Davis.

The amount of bitching, whining and anger that shows up in this forum is amazing considering:

-- We're ranked 1st in the West
-- We're 9-2 (leading the league by a long shot) against teams with winning records, not feasting on bottom-dwellers
-- We're 1st in the league in point differential against winning teams (+8.8)
-- We're 3rd in the league in point differential (+6.9), the best predictor of future success. The Warriors were +6.8 last year.

Yes, but if we'd fire the GM, fire the coach and trade our 2nd best player we'd go 82-0 with a +100 point differential.

Why don't you want this team to be successful?

Our offense sucks... because Stotts and CJ.
Our defense sucks... because Stotts and CJ and Dame.
Our team sucks... because Olshey.

Am I doing it right?

You forgot to mention we got swept in the first round, other that that, spot on!

The West Is The Best
The West Is The Best
The Blazers Here And We'll Do The Rest

HEY THERE MAMA, YOU'RE LOOKIN' REAL GOOD!

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

One thing to take some pride in, as much as we should take pride in the accomplishments of the team, they're 9-2 against above .500 teams.

By far the best record against above .500 teams in the entire league.

So we'd have an even better record if we didn't piss away gaes against bad teams ?

Why yes that does sound like the Blazers !!

Effectively a 4-way tie for first. Out of the Blazers/Grizzlies/Clippers/Warriors, which team(s) finishes without HCA?

I think our record last year vs playoff teams was pretty bad wasn't it? We beat up on bad teams and benefited from a long win streak that put us in the playoffs.

Wouldnt be surprised if the Grizzlies and Clippers dont even make the playoffs.

2.5 games ahead with a million games to go is more than slightly disconcerting for a team that has been as inconsistent as ours.
To be fair there are 27 other fanbases who are probably feeling the same or worse. The Lakers fans are delusional and GS fans are still high from the last few parades... They are also made up of mostly the same people...

That's why I'm living in the moment. I'm happy, but not necessarily confident.

It's nice to be on top of the West for the moment, but that could easily change tonight if the Grizzlies beat the Spurs and the Blazers lose to the Bucks. What's got me pumped is just the fact that the notoriously slow-starting Blazers are out of the gates fast this year and they're doing it during a pretty touch stretch of their schedule. This is likely to make the second half of the season so much less difficult than in the past few seasons.

Spurs and Thunder just need to win and we stay in the top spot. Spurs are ahead in 4th qtr right now.
