Never a TV watcher as a kid. In fact it was punishment to make me watch TV instead of reading & playing with my cat (see, I haven't changed much).

I watched Ed Sullivan when they had a musical act I liked, especially Beatles. Later watch Laugh-In and Smothers Brothers until Censored Bull Shit took it off the air.

As an adult, I watch sports, news programming, occasional classic movie. My one series is Law & Order SVU, I've seen every episode. And damn, 6 weeks is a long time to wait while Rollins has a gun at her head!

OMG, I can't believe I left off Ed Sullivan.
Also left off American Bandstand.

cheers.jpg I did not watch much tv growing up or throughout most of my adulthood....usually it was on at someone else's house but still if I get nostalgic....Cheers was the best of the lot

Mission Impossible
Mash
Austin City Limits...best music showcase
Soul Train
Hill Street Blues

Soul Train
Austin City Limits - Great call.
Never could get into the TV version of Mash. Loved the movie, though. Did like Lieutenant Colonel Blake and corporal Radar in the TV series.

Recently went back and watched all of Third Rock From the Sun and Fraiser. Both good shows.

GoT
Downton Abbey
Letterkenny
TPB
Peaky Blinders

My son just set us up with a Disney plus account and I have to say in a small sample size, the Star Wars series Mandalorian is maybe the best quality tv series I've watched ever for tv....can't really compare it so early on as I've only watched two episodes and often the writing will water down as it gets going but so far....it's better than the last few Star Wars movies in my view
The Mandalorian is quite good!

Some shows I enjoyed as a kid:
I Dream of Jeannie
Three's Company
Twilight Zone
MacGyver (Original Version)
Alien Nation
Star Trek
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Quantum Leap
Exosquad
Kolchak: The Night Stalker
Werewolf
The Incredible Hulk

I'll add a few, as campy as some of them are.....

Wild, Wild West
Outer Limits
Hogan's Heroes
M.A.S.H
Green Hornet
Columbo
Charlie's Angels
Rat Patrol
Gilligan's Island
Petticoat Junction
Green Acres
All In The Family
The Jefferson's
Maude
Mary Tyler Moore Show

Late night horror classics with Elvira....if for nothing else..."Elvira" ..I made her a double espresso once in Los Angeles when I worked at a coffee house...she's gorgeous!

West Wing will top any list I can think of for TV shows.

Don't argue this with me. It's just fact.

You're too young to know about some of the best TV shows ever.

Outer Limits was great. Wasn't that the one with the ending where the guy said that the book "How to Serve Man" was a cook book? Just looked it up, it's the Twilight Zone.
I was just reminded of the Twilight Zone with William Shatner as a man on an airplane called "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet".

77 Sunset Strip

Bonanza;
The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show;
The Jack Benny Show;
You Bet Your Live (Groucho Marx);
The Honeymooners (Jackie Gleason);
Wagon Train;
Wanted Dead or Alive;
The Tonight Show (Johnny Carson);
The Late Show (David Letterman);
Saturday Night Live;
SCTV.

I grew up on The Honeymooners and Mash.

TOO THE MOON ALICE... one of these days... one of thexse days!!!!

West Wing blows them away. Real content. Real world Problems. Quick witted humor, quality actors and actresses and acting.

I told you not to argue this with me. :)

GoT has to fall off the list after how they ended it.
Curious as to what exactly makes you say that?

The torching of King's Landing made no sense. Daenerys was at times ruthless but never senseless. Ships were burning, army surrendering, she could have strolled to the throne. I know it's fiction but I like fiction to make sense.

I did like Sansa becoming Queen in her own right and Arya sailing off to boldly go where no woman had gone before.

How did you like the Jack Benny Sh9w or Burns and Allen or Groucho Marx or The Tonight Show or The Late Show or the early Saturday Night Live or SCTV?

I'd like to add Mr. Moon, Heck Harper and Captain Kangaroo to my list.

I watched one episode of West Wing and that was enough. Never watched another episode. I thought Martin Sheen was badly miscast and I can't stand Rob Lowe.

Because it was the most lazy writing I have ever seen. They left so many subplots out in the cold. So many things unexplained.

Daenarys slowly becoming mad would have been fine, but it was such a short season that there was zero foreshadowing and such a huge shift made no sense. The death of the Night King was stupid. In fact, that entire plotline was completely wasted. And then there was just a lot of plot holes like the fact that Dany magically had a never ending supply of unsullied and dothraki.

They did Jon wrong in how they ended his story. The negatives are pretty thoroughly documented online. Bran becoming King made zero sense. It was just disgusting. Such a horrible way to end a magnificent story. You could tell when the source material ran out.
