This city and franchise are so used to fail they're scared shitless to lose a head coach that treads water.

Best young coach in the NBA? I like that guy who is the interim coach at Indy. They were completely overmatched against Chicago yet had sizable leads in every game. He got them to play over their heads, which is all you can ask a coach to do.

It's the way we lose in the playoffs. We just seem lost, making it up as we go along, no coherent offense or defense. When we win, we barely win; when we lose, we get blown out. It just seems the games and series should be closer.

In pro sports you change players and coaches all the time. It's no big deal to make a change. You don't need a big reason to make a change; you need a big reason NOT to to make a change. The decision is usually after 2 years, not the 8 years McMillan is getting.

McMillan advocates think that we need a big reason to change coaches. In pro sports, it's the opposite. Be a big success or move over for your replacement. I think we should try someone new.

sure, I'm not a fan of any broken record. Doesn't it seem reasonable to keep the same sentiment in the same time period confined to one or two threads? That we have at least 5 on this with the same few posters starting yet another thread to hammer the same redundant points in the past week since losing to Dallas is what I commented on, not the actual subject matter.

Ed's comments seem to indicate he wasn't aware that this dead horse has already been thoroughly beaten in multiple threads which is why I responded in the post you quoted

At least half the posts in those threads were from your side, ridiculing the existence of the threads. Thread #3 wasn't started by ILoveOden, it was started by Boob, supposedly to merge the threads. I posted the only serious comment in it and it became obvious that it was just there to parody anti-McMillan threads. So that thread doesn't belong in your list.

Thread #2 spans 15 hours. Thread #4 spans a day. Both ended, so why are you complaining that they were started? You should complain that they weren't merged.

You disagree with the point of view of the threadstarter so you want the 2 enduring threads to end. Firing the coach is major enough to warrant 2 lasting threads. It's like having multiple threads on matters you find harmless, like who to draft, which players are doing well, etc. Should each of those subjects have only one ongoing thread? Even if firing Nate had only one ongoing thread, you'd still object to that.
