Yeah I think Charlotte decided awhile ago which one to pick. No way they are making that decision flip flopping back and forth the day of the draft.

But they could be informing employees or representatives of the player of their intention today, which is then either getting out and reported or directly leading to large bets.

Yes if you had made those bets at different times when either of them wasn't the favorite, yes you could lock in a profit by either pick. The problem is how would you know the odds would later switch the other direction to make the second half of that guaranteed profit bet?

Also if Amen gets picked #2 you lose everything. Probably very unlikely but you never know.

Yeah it could be Jordan's friends. There's probably a lot of people in the inner circle of the Hornets though - so it doesn't have to just be Jordan, could be one of the new owners, GM, somebodies wife, one of their friends, heck maybe even LaMelo was told and LaVar is in Vegas throwing those big baller bets down.

I know the Blazers like Amen but what if they are trying to get the Rockets who I believe is in love with him to trade up with Portland to get him

Blazers get the Rockets other 1st to move up one spot then Blazers get another asset AND Miller OR maybe Miller is taken by the Rockets and Portland still takes Amen at 4 but still get that extra 1st.

Only problem with that is I am not sure Cronin is that smart but I guess we shall see

Haha yeah... Cronin was set on Scoot to pair with DameAnt. Miller as a forward? Hell no, we need more GUARDS. So we're pivoting to the next guard option.

Problem is we traded away both Hart and GPII... what are some more GUARDS we can sign with the MLE? Then we can have FIVE or SIX guards. Lets us play GUARDS all over the frontcourt for the entire 48 minutes of a game.

That should not be shocking at all.
Several draft evaluators had Amen ahead of Miller and also some even had Thompson with a higher ceiling, than scoot.
