My daughter that lives in Estacada just called and said there were 100 plus protesters assembling for a march and to pull down the Ranger statue?
She said there were PU trucks with flags and guns crusing the streets along with Clackamas county police.
A peaceful march will be cool but any looting and statue won't be tolerated and shouldn't. He would hurt their cause to cause any damage.

For those of us who live where there is actually concrete on the ground, can you explain to us the significance of this statue. And why they would want to tear it down.

Incidentally,

The term chicks denigrates women.
I have a niece who's 100% pro women's lib but calls some movies chick flicks. I don't think she takes it as a denigrating term.
I also have a close friend who's Liberal with a capitol 'L' who talks about flirting with Chicks and he certainly does not take it as denigrating.
I think it depends on who uses the expression and how they use it. Context, context, contex

Actually, I forgot to use green font on that one.

I don't know and either did she. I mean a Ranger? I guess a ranger is a forest cop right? I asked the same of her. They moved out there because he's a excavator and found 5 acres at a decent price for his equipment storage.
Not everyone can afford the city anymore so more and more are moving to the rural.
