Correction: I wasn't arguing whose style is better. I simply asked not to be judged when you don't know enough about me - I don't pass judgment on his parenting. No parent wants to be questioned on that, especially not by a message board goons with no real insight into one's life. But everyone has an opinion (especially PapaG - that's not intended as a knock, just saying he shares his opinions more than most).

I get why you (and others) don't have kids. To each his own. Call me crazy, call me old fashioned, call me a sheep, or hell, as El-p loves to call me a "soccer mom", I always knew kids would be part of the equation.

Also, the tax system is flawed - but I think you're oversimplifying it. But I do agree that nobody should get more than they paid in. That's utter bullshit.

LOL. You guys are way off-base, but I'm not shocked it's the two of you. Papa likes to sweat me for some reason. I don't brag about taking vacations without my kids. Those are conversations how kids hold people back, which I totally disagree. Figure you'd twist the words. We have opportunities and do take trips with and without the kids.

Maris, I ask you.... Do you have kids? Where were they during the day? We're you a stay-at-home dad? Somebody has to work to pay bills. I dunno how you and Papa paid the bills while staying home at tending to the kids. Please do tell me. For that, I would genuinely envy you guys. I thought it was great that my kids never went to daycare and instead spent the day with family. But kudos to you guys for getting to stay-at-home or work from home and take care of the kids at once. I'm truly jealous. That makes you guys extremely rare company.

And Papa, don't judge what you don't know. That's just pathetic and sad. I come home from work, spend 3 hours with my kids, bathe them, put them into bed, and read for 30 minutes before they're asleep. I spend at least one entire day per weekend just my kids and I. We go do an activity out and about during that time every weekend. I'll always strive to be a better parent, but I have no guilt over what I do or do not provide my children. I don judge you, so keep my name outta your mouth or I'll report you (before you think I'm upset and heated, that last line was a joke. Really.)

That was made pretty clear from the beginning that she's allowed to register under a new moniker. It's not like it ever stopped PapaG or Bralixum.

Fuck children half the people who have them can't afford them. Others who can afford them hire others to take care of them.

People with children should pay more taxes not less. Especially considering a significant percent of taxes goes to fund the schools these kids attend etc.

The US tax code sucks. Taxes for everyone should be 20% with no deductions. If you have a kid in school add 2.5% to your tax per child. Under no circumstances should someone ever get more money back than they paid.

Of course nothing is worse for this country than anchor babies.

Papa and bg I personally think each of you are crazy for having children and ridiculous for arguing whose parenting style is the best.

The mods are more inconsistent than heavy handed. a rule for one isn't a rule for another.

I left because I was tired of constantly being attacked and called a troll for being critical of the team.

I also realize that especially since my surgery, I have less tolerance for certain things, making the forum an unhappy place for many posters. So, we move on.
