I'm sure you would. The Lakers wouldn't though.

Their pick is # 25 and they have other SF's on their roster, so losing Kuzma is not that bad. I think the Lakers would benefit from that trade.

Not sure Ball is a good fit next to Dame though. I would want more for CJ.

Missing the ultimate reason why...

That trade ruins a significant amount of their cap space which they absolutely will not do. Plus why would LeBron and George want to play with a scorer like CJ instead of a passer like Ball?

My bad, I thought they had a pick around #10 for some reason. I wouldn't do it for a mid 20's pick.

I think Ball would be good for Dame because it would force him to play more off ball and not control the offense all the time and he is better at pushing the tempo which I have never understood why Portland refuses to do (I do actually know why but was being nice to Dame). Plus he is a bigger guard that can play some defense. I would actually prefer Ingram over Ball, but not sure they would deal him.

I really don't think CJ has as much trade value as most I guess. He would work in the right situation, but not sure how many right situations are really out there.

Ball and defense shouldn't be in the same sentence.

oh yeah, but Combat was probably my favorite. Other shows I enjoyed were The Rifleman, Sky King and of course the Flintstones, The Looney Tunes and The Jetsons.
You forgot Voyage To See What's On The Bottom (That was the Mad Magazine Version :))

My brother and I watched Combat religiously when we were kids. I do believe that show is the reason I studied French in school, spent a semester studying and traveling in France in college, and ended up married to a French woman ;)

Because Lebron likes to be surrounded by shooters. LBJ is a great point forward. What is Ball going to do when LBJ is running the show? Same dilemma with Simmons in Philly. Both are great with the ball in their hands. Not so much when they don't.

I loved Combat. I also liked Rat Patrol. My French never got to a usable level :)

You are correct sir. I still have a vivid memory of her face. And that voice. Le Sigh.

Claudine said "Hi" to me once in a stairwell in the Aspen Courthouse. I'm not sure why I was there but she was there on trial for murder. I didn't know who she was or why she was there until my girlfriend told me.

Saw this one on a Piston's board today:

PISTONS GET: CJ, Parsons

GRIZZ GET: Blake, #24 pick

BLAZERS GET: Leuer, Galloway, McLemore, #4 pick

The Grizzlies have to get the 24th pick because they traded their 2019 pick next year but I think as long as they give us the 32nd pick I'd really have to consider doing this trade.

The Grizz aren't trading the 4th pick and Parsons for Blake.. they get hosed on that one.

The Blazers aren't trading for picks. They are looking to trade picks now. That what Olshey has said.

If we were to trade CJ i would want a replacement player of like caliber as opposed to a draft pick. Even if that pick turns out pretty good, it likely pushes the team out of the playoffs and in one of the worst draft positions by finishing somewhere in the 12th to 14th pick and not sure how Lillard would feel about having to wait 2 or 3 years if not more before that player is at least close to McCollums caliber.

I think the waiting 2-3 years thing is often a fallacy. Look at how many rookies contributed this year. Adding the #4 pick is pretty good value for CJ but I can see it both ways. This particular draft has at least 5 or 6 really good prospects at the top so getting the 4th pick would guarantee at least one of them. We could also still use the TPE to bring in Courtney Lee or someone like that to help now if the rookie isn't quite ready.

Contributing and replacing the second best player on a team aren't the same thing though. I'm also not a fan of Courtney Lee either as he will be 33 at the start of next year,. Lillard was an outstanding choice and was the 2nd best player in the draft and yet he didn't get us to the playoffs his first year with a lineup of Wes, Batum and Aldridge.

So you wouldn't have traded CJ for either Jayson Tatum or Donovan Mitchell?

Pistons fans really want Blake gone already if they’re willing to take Parsons lol
