Winslow and Turner have similar turnover numbers and are actually on the lower side at 1.1 and 1.3 respectively. Olynck actually averages more turnovers than Turner at 1.9 in similar minutes and doesn;t handle the ball as much. I also doubt very much that Miami would do the trade.
Olynyk actually handles the ball a lot. Not as a PG type but he thrived last year when they ran the offense through him.

the point wasn't about Olynck as the point was Turner is not a turnover machine like labinot41 alleged.

Have you watched the Pelicans series dude? Evan turnover made lobs to his teammates allmost 2 meters over their heads. Evan turnover is just so stupid he can't even throw a simply lob. I allways feel uncomfortable when he has the Ball in his hands. When he came to Portland i thought he is a good ballhandler and passer, but his ballhandling is Average at his best and his passing just sucks

I wouldn't judge any player on the roster using the Pelicans series as a parameter...that would be like saying Dame and CJ can't shoot....Turner is a solid defender...nobody on the Blazers can throw a lob since Andre Miller.

I always thought throwing lob passes is harder than a regular pass. There is a lot of finesse involved and while you have to throw a ball that hangs in the air for a while, you also have to throw it fast enough the other team doesn’t get it.

Yes dude, I did and since when does one series determine a players ability? He averaged 1.5 turnovers in the series and 4 of those were in one game and he had 2 in the other 2 games he played in. Hardly a turnover machine like you claim.

Okay so I made the Heat trade of Turner and #24 for Olynyk and Winslow.

Then I made a trade with the 76ers in which I got Bayless, Rights to Jonah Bolden, #26, and #39 using the TPE.

Current Roster:
Dame/Bayless
CJ/Baldwin
Harkless/Winlsow/Layman
Aminu/Collins/Bolden/Swanigan
Nurk?/Olynyk/Leonard/PapaG

Obviously Big Heavy but I am working on other deals and have the 26th and 39th picks to fill out the back court.

That’s a better roster than it would have been had we just used our pick. With a couple players with the potential to make a difference in Winslow and Bolden.

If this was the only type of move we made with maybe the addition of using our TPE, I wouldn’t be bummed but I also wouldn’t be too excited heading into the season with the same starting 5. Still, I think that team wins 50+ games just wouldn’t be suprised to see the same outcome in the playoffs.

Think Davis and Olynyk could coexist? Offensively they could. Davis can guard 4s. Maybe send out Aminu for some backcourt help.

I think between Collins, Bolden, Nurk, and Olynyk that is plenty of bigs so I'd probably let Davis walk. I'm trying hard to unload Aminu but he doesn't have much value in this. Expiring contracts aren't exactly valuable because no one cares what happens beyond this summer. I put Swanigan, Olynyk, and Winslow on the block too.

I'm trying really hard to trick a team with a big non-guaranteed contract to take Meyers so I can just cut the player(s) I bring in and clear his whole contract off the books.

Ha ha ha ha, the league commissioner said if we combined trades with another one and I threw in Layman it worked without having to use the TPE so officially the trade was:

Evan Turner, Jake Layman, and #24 for Kelly Olynyk, Justise Winslow, Jerryd Bayless, Rights to Jonah Bolden, #26, and #39

Holy crap, now I'm going to try and get 14 with the TPE!

I think the Cavs GM would do CJ and 26 for Love and 8. My guards are SOOOOOO thin if I do that though.

Guys I did it! I pulled off the trade of the century.

Aminu, MEYERS LEONARD, and 39

for

Alec Burks and Thabo Sefolosha (Completely non-guaranteed so will be waived unless another trade opens up).

Current Lineup:
Dame/Baldwin/Bayless
CJ/Burks
Harkless/Winslow
Collins/Bolden/Swanigan
Nurk?/Olynyk/PapaG

I really like that team and I still have pick #26 and the Trade Exceptions. Somehow I managed to make the team a lot better and get rid of the two bad contracts while only moving down two spots in the draft.

Burks is absolute garbage. Gotta upgrade that backcourt off the bench still. Better financially though.

Would you guys do the CJ and 26 for Love and 8 and work out the details later? I'd still be very big heavy.

@BonesJones

Personally, yes, I would. Similar to the draft mantra of BPA, outside of dealing your team's best player, I think you have to maximize value when you can. Love is arguably a better player than CJ, and the 8 is undoubtedly much more valuable than the 26.

That is what I was thinking.

And CJ isn't?

Collins isn't though. And that is who he would be playing over. The lottery pick makes it interesting though.
But can Klove stay healthy? Concussions take a toll. If I am him I stay away from contact under the rim. Is that what we want from our PF?

No. Love is a shitty defender.

I really just wanted the 8th pick. Now I am going to attempt to go after a starting SG like Beal, Middleton, or Jaylen Brown.
