Minnesota isn't over the tax level, so they don't need to dump salary. They've got a ton of trade exceptions, so they don't need to clear salary to make future deals. If something is brewing, it doesn't look like it's financially motivated on Minnesota's part.

The only thing that makes sense would be Pekovic. They might not need to dump his salary, but I am sure they want to. He just does not fit with the other youngsters on their roster.

But he does have some value, so I am guessing they are shopping him and we were unwilling to give up what they wanted. Which would be one of our young assets on a cheap contract. The problem is he does not make sense for us either.

He will be gone by the deadline....if he is healthy.
