Who said it'll be 4 weeks though? Press release says he'll be reevaluated in two. Capelas press release said he'd be reevaluated in four and he was playing that same week. My guess is Capelas injury was not a non displaced fracture.

Posted earlier in the thread. Dante Cunningham, Tyson Chandler, and Steve Nash were also around the same 4 week time frame for non-displaced fibular fractures

We will make playoffs. Hopefully, we don't start playoffs til Sunday and then game 2 isn't til like Wednesday. He could easily be back by then. I'm not too worried. He won't miss the whole series. First game at home isn't til like 3 weeks from now.
Yes let's Brandon Roy our COTF a few months into his blazers career.

Hopefully PA says "hold on now I've seen this movie before, let's bring him along slowly rather than rush him back"

Heres the lineup I'd go with:

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (24) / Crabbe (24)
Harkless (15) / Turner (25) / Crabbe (8)
Vonleh (10) / Aminu (20) / Harkless (18)
Leonard (14) / Vonleh (24) / Aminu (10)

Lillard/McCollum - 36 minutes
Vonleh - 34 minutes
Harkless - 33 minutes
Crabbe - 32 minutes
Aminu - 30 minutes
Turner - 25 minutes
Leonard - 14 minutes

I had a non displaced fracture in my nose. Hurt for a couple days and was completely healed in a week or two.

Right, but there are different types of fractures, and in Capelas case I couldn't find anything that suggested it was a non displaced one. I guess we'll find out.
I've been browsing the net for examples of heal time for non-displaced fibula fracture, and it takes 6+ weeks for most people. Of course, all kinds of factors come into play, but to think he'll be playing ball in 2 weeks is very optimistic. Most of the heal times you see refer to people walking without crutches.

I just think Nurk is done for the season.

Would like to see Nurkic get down to 250-260 lbs.

Would still be extremely strong but he'd also be quicker and more agile.

The biggest thing is it would make him less injury prone. 25lbs less coming down on his legs is a big difference.

Well seems likely that we will still make the playoffs (whether thats good or bad) but even if somehow we don't either way one positive that I am interested to see is Vonleh play extended minutes. I hope we can even run some plays for him. I would like to see how he reacts

yes, but for all of them was said between 4-6 weeks, and for Nurkic they said 2 weeks, then hell be revalueted, so who knows.. I guess they would said the same for Nurkic, if that was the case

I still feel good...he's our center and after training camp and the draft we'll be great next season..it's not like I've pinned my hopes on playoff success all year and the cherry on top was seeing Nurk beast with the team..now we see who sucks the worst in the playoffs and cut them or trade them off season...I'm now excited for the off season again.

And the thing to keep in mind is that even if he does come back in time for the playoffs he won't be 100%, he will be out of game shape and his timing will be off. Not a good recipe.

He just put up a double double on the Rockets limping....the dude played through some obvious pain and smiled....he IS a beast

Yeah. However, they need to shut him down and get him ready for next season. Our team fought back and played hard when Nurkic came over from the Nuggets. I'm proud of our team and I can't wait for the wild ride to the top of standings next season, baby!
