Did you forget Nards can shoot threes?
He's 7ft and can shoot threes.!!!
Must play him 30mpg.

Blazer organization.

We still have to bring in somebody on a 10 day contract. Who else can they play, Quarterman?

I doubt it. Olshey thinks the D league is shit. Why the hell I don't know. I know we used to have a team. The results weren't great though.

Oh I doubt it too. But they do need something. Meyers and Vonleh are the only 'bigs' now and Meyers doesn't play big. Any foul trouble whatesover and you could end up with Aminu playing center in spots.

Anyone at this point is better than playing Nards.
I swear against Denver a couple nights ago Barton starting laughing when he looked up and saw Nards ready to "contest" Barton at the rim.

Well they meant all the "great" centers in blazers history. It's actually quite a compliment that they regard Nurkic has the next great center
You are right they kind of presented it that way. But why include Bowie, instead of Sabonis? Bowie was ok but never that great; he's only really notable for being injured. Injury was the common thread among the three.

Maybe Ed Davis wakes up.

Or...

INT. NIGHT -- A very tall man shuffles about his room. Pan across as we see photos, weathered with age, of the VERY TALL MAN posting up against Shaq, of him shooting a three, of him grinning wildly as his teammates dance around him.

CLOSE UP on a letter in the man's hands. He's opened it already, and we can see a flash of some words, and a signature: PLEASE HELP US... LOVE, PAUL.

VOICE (OFF CAMERA): Ardvydas, honey, what's going on?

VERY TALL MAN: I have to go, baby. I'll be back in a couple weeks.

^^^^...that might sound like Mixum....but it also sounds like the simple reality of where the Blazers are. For now.

So in other words nothing has changed in the last two days. I mean we were never going to really compete with the Warriors and we were not going to get a lottery pick.

So unless Nurk's injury is career threatening, I am not sure how we are all of a sudden in basketball purgatory. Did we lose our 3 first round picks too?

My first post in this thread started with denial. Hahahahahahaha!
I actually was going to show examples of each stage, made by our members. There are some great ones. Honestly, that quote of yours was the very first one I saved. Lol. It would have taken me too long to do though, so I tossed the idea....

So he has a stress fracture in his right leg?

Those are annoying. He'll be fine though. It kind of feels like bad shin splints. With the care he's gonna be getting, I'm not worried at all. This could be from not playing much, to playing 30mpg.

I have gotten used to the idea that for the Blazers...shit happens.....I accept whatever chapter they are going through. I do feel the future is really bright with Nurk in the fold though...for now...let's see who the keepers are on the roster before the offseason....guys step up or go away now
