Blazers are coffee snobs

Damn. I don't think I've had a cup of coffee in over 20 years. Medication I take makes drinking a ground stimulant like that extremely difficult on my stomach. I hope some of the Blazers like Lipton's decaffeinated tea!

A few points:

This thread could've just as easily been titled something like "Portland's Trail Blazing use of performance enhancing caffeine".

Obviously we're getting the timing of this all wrong, because we always seem to come out flat in the third. Maybe we do need to line up some espresso shots at halftime.

USA coffee has an extremely bad reputation over here. Like you're all brewing up dishwater in your peculators, and drinking basically just sugar and milk from Starbucks. French press is a step up from your usual reputation, but it's still looked down upon here (undeservedly IMHO).

That stuff is nasty on the stomach.

Oh and btw im a beer snob. So what. Im a coffee snob too. After many blends i found my kona and i dont want anything else.
10barrell apocolypse ipa or give me a fresca.

Like most foods over here we love to dilute them with dressings and ketchup, etc.

I will admit i first started drinking coffee with just a little cream and sugar. Now its a small spoonful of caramel sauce, a shot of chocolate syrup aNd some mocha mix.

And its addicting.

Really because when I was living down under (albeit 10+ years ago). Coffee to them was instant.

Yeah it varies, but there's definitely a lot of coffee snobs. There's a very strong coffee culture here due to Italian, Greek, and Turkish migrants.

Down under living to him is just that.
Down under.... wait. Nm. Cant go there. He is married.

The Nets just signed Mitch Creek to a 10-Day (bringing the total number of Aussies playing in the NBA to 11) and I was surfing articles about his time in the G-League and came across this:

Mitch Creek was in a Manhattan cafe recently talking on the phone to a friend back in Australia about the difficulty in finding a good cup of coffee in the US.

"I hung up the phone and the guy next to me laughed and said, 'The coffee is terrible isn't?'" Creek told AAP of his New York moment.

"This guy said he has travelled the world and the best coffee he has had was in Australia.

"I said, 'Where in Australia?' and he said 'Melbourne'.

I like my beans from Columbia and my beer from Germany. If you add fruit to beer drink a wine cooler and leave the beer to me, that is like salt and lime for good tequila never saw the need. As far as adding all the sugar/caramel/crème/ whipped crème cinnamon or whatever to coffee you should probably stick to hot chocolate and red bull. I like going to Starbucks and saying I would like a large cup of coffee and watch the smoke come from their ears then I say however many shots of espresso it takes to fill that large cup you got there and no I do not want any sugar with that. Although on occasion I have been known to add Kahlua, Spiced rum and a splash of St. Brendans to my coffee.
