The Blazers are fighting for the best record in the league. Why aren't they selling out every game?

The team is claiming because they're not padding the attendance #'s anymore. Don't know if that's true or not, but i know they used to do that ALL the time.

I hope we can keep that huge home court advantage when it counts.

Portland isn't the same place it was in the 80's and 90's. I have friends who had season tickets who are now diehard Timbers
and Ducks fans who spend their money elsewhere. It's not that they don't see Blazer games, it's just that they don't feel
like they have to see as many games. Plus the Oden debacle and the last couple of years probably hurt too.

The comcast deal has put a bad taste in a lot of fans mouthes. Hard to follow a team when you cant view their games on a nightly basis.

Man. You rang the bell that time. My dad's a huge Blazer fan but hasn't seen a game this year since he switched to Direct TV. I have to say that the Blazers sometimes
make shoddy business deals. Changing the name of the Rose Garden and the Comcast deal. They look at the bottom line rather than maximizing their market exposure.
The Timbers and the Ducks are part of multiple TV deals. Though in the Timbers case no one watches them on TV.

6th in attendance for a smaller market team is solid IMO.

I hate that term "small market." Portland fans support their teams like no other. The Winterhawks,
The Timbers have over 60 sold out matches, and no other small market team can match the
fanaticism of Blazer fans. Basically, you build it here. they will come.

104.6%. Denny's team is lying about their capacity. If we did too, our percentage would zoom up too.

I wonder if they just let people line up for free tickets, first come first served, at game time, if people would show up? If there were 800 people in line for 600 tickets, you could skip that line by buying tickets.

800 trying to get 600? You think a mob fight is more orderly than a line?

Yeah, they should tell their security guys to remain inside instead of maintaining order. /sarcasm.

Very solid point

I took my nephew to the game last night and ticket prices have gone way up from the last time I bought some (a couple of years ago). For 300 level tickets "somewhat" caddy-corner to the court I paid 60 bucks a ticket. I doubt I'll be going to a ton of games at those prices and I suspect I'm not the only one.

I could be way off base here, as I haven't lived in Oregon in over six years, but I heard Oregon was one of the hardest hit in the recent mini depression, having one of the higher state unemployment rates. I've also been told by my family still out there, the cost of living has gone way up since I've been gone. If true, coupled with the pricing games the Blazers seem to be playing with tickets lately, perhaps money is the biggest factor?

Over educated and under employed. Truer than ever.

Yep, Comcast deal, and no money to spend on stuff like that anymore.
