Blazers fire Hughes!

If there is still this much dysfunction in the front office then I think it seriously might be time to change the one constant over the past years....Not sure what that would mean for this organization though.

How very corporate of you but we all this is just retaliation for Neil having a bad day
Corporate of me? That's your dialogue? You can do better than that cmeese...firing Hughes was a given even if you're in hippy commune and told the city crackheads where the pot field was...I could go on but you expected him to be commended for it?

This move was probably the main reason why we struck out on Monroe. Which then lost any hope to keep Aldridge. I'm sure Blazers are pretty salty at the chain of events

I respect his honesty, simple as that, I think the world is a better place without all this extra bs we overinflate into it. I wish someone would have had the balls to stand up to LA years ago and say this is how we are going to play. You are more effective as a center that is where you are going to play call yourself a power forward or whatever you like but this is what is best for the team.

Yes, a well-deserved firing. I'm sure he didn't mean any harm, but loose lips sink ships.

He's a great big man mentor and great players have praised him for it.
I'm not doubting players love him but I think we need a more seasoned guy to come in. A more all business type person, we are in the formative years now, we can't make mistakes.

So you must be celebrating today..Batum's gone, Lamarcus is gone..we must have had 2 thousand arguments over those guys alone. I'm actually looking forward to the youth movement.

Bring back the jailblazers, fuck it. Rehire Whitsitt, get all the jlprk bad boys, and Ariza every MF who dares go to the basket, while assistant coach Sheed sets a league record for technicals from the bench.

"Make It Badder".

Well after we got word about this leak, Monroe decides Milwaukee.
Correlation is not causation. Milwaukee is a better team right now, certainly way more stable than the Blazers have been. If it was a known that LMA was leaving you can bet Monroe's agent already knew this was likely and had informed his client prior to Hughes' statements.

Still, you leak sensitive information you are canned. Pure and simple

Okay, now we're a laughing stock. Sacramento fans are saying "well, at least we're not Trail Blazer fans"
Back to being underdogs...a place we've lived for a long time. Sacramento fans still have to live in Sacramento

Why pick Milwaukee? At this point Philly might be a better team.

I didn't say it was a smart move on his part, I'm just not sure it's a fire-able offense is all. A reprimand for sure and some kind of penalty, but if the guy can coach and was maybe an integral part of Meyers' development, firing him doesn't exactly seem like such a hot move; if feels reactionary.

It sucks we lost the big man coach, but the dude fucked up. Not firing would set a wrong example to your other employees
