Blazers interested in OG Anunoby?

Should hockey players heights be listed with their skates on? Ridiculous. Someone's height is what they measure barefoot period

STOMP

I wonder if taller hockey players play at a disadvantage because of how they're further away from the puck.

Theres a history of NBA players height listed with shoes.

If players are listed barefoot it makes them appear short or limited. Look at all the detractors here on Norman Powell being a 6'3" SF.

I think OG is the most likely player to be traded on the roster but I think teams would line up for him, driving up the price. I don't think Portland needs him that badly.

Maybe that is true.

I look at it as a team barely wins two playoff games following a 27 win season; why would their third best forward whom they are willing to dump be worth a lot?

Jake said multiple sources around the league are mentioning "friction" around his minimized role.

Portland has been repeatedly trying to get OG using the TPE.

OG wants a bigger role. Doesn't mean he really wants out, but wants clarity in his role.

Utah has also made overtures.

Also an interesting nugget... Raptors were among the teams to meet with Daniels at the combine.

And the dude is going to make over $18m/season for the next three years. He's not good enough to make a big difference on a bad team, and that's too much money to be considered a good value. I'd take him, but giving up value for him doesn't make much sense to me for a team that's so far away from being good.

18 mil/yr for a guy who is among the league leaders in defensive impact is a value contract in today's NBA. my only issue with OG is his durability.

Now I agree if healthy he has value on that contract. But your right in that his health concerns lower that value.

How much is his discounted health value exceed $18 million per season? I certainly wouldn't say near enough to be worth the highest pick the Blazers have been slotted at in 15 years.

All of the ABSOLUTELY CORRECT detractors!

Toronto is also smarter than us. Like the Trent trade, I’d be suspicious that we were getting fleeced if Toronto thinks the #7 is worth more than OG.

Josh Hart is a keeper...I'd trade Naz long before I trade Hart...fact is I wouldn't trade Hart at all...he's a baller...a real two way player. Unselfish and hungry to win..don't have to break the bank to keep him....we need a PF, not another combo 2 guard

Holy hell, I just realized OG is also with Klutch.

That's now three players that have been linked to us from that agency : Bridges/ LaVine/ OG.

I’d love OG here, but not for the #7 pick.

OG is not a star. He’s an elite role player. That’s valuable, but the lessons from the Covington, Afflalo, and Nance trades are clear: you do not trade first round picks for role players, especially top 10 picks.
OG is better than all of those players by a mile. He averaged 17ppg last season. Hardly a “role player.”

If we can somehow get Dame/Dort/OG/Grant/Nurk on floor, that’s contender. Dame plus defense.

was OG an all NBA first team defender? I heard Mike Richman say something to that effect...maybe he meant future all NBA? He thinks OG is the best PF since Lamarcus that Dame's ever played with..

OG's never been selected as an all nba defender in any way.

Funny to read Raptors reactions:

They think #7 and hart is not enough, lol

They are idiots. I'd package our two second round picks but i hate doing that. I think there are 8/10 players in the second round that will be ten year NBA Players. I think this draft is deep. Not heavy at the top with perennial all-star HOF types but they will be great NBA players for a long time. I really hate trading this seven pick unless it's up. I'd give up 7 and 36 to get in the top three.

If we could get OG and Grant, I think that could go a long way.

Dame
Ant
OG
Grant
Nurk

That's a pretty solid starting lineup.

How can we get both? I thought Detroit was looking for the seven pick as well? I really hope we don't trade 7 AND 36.

Nice line-up....but who is volunteering for #4 and #5 on the shot chart with that group?

If it can happen, make it happen and let that stuff sort itself out on the court, based on the coaches scheme. Winning solves alot.
