Blazers making offer to Kanter

Per DX, Kanter's standing reach at the combine was 9'1.5", and his max vert was 32.5", giving him a max reach of 11'10". That's lower than all our bigs except Leonard. Further, his speed/agility numbers are very similar to Leonard's.

Conclusion--if Leonard can learn how to play defense, so can Kanter.

I really hope he gets better at defense because his offensive game is really good. This guy has the potential to be an All-star IMO

That seems like a lot now, but like has been said, isn't so bad later on. With that cap going up and Kanter plus Dame at big dollars, what would their cap space be next years? Now it looks like OKC offered something close so maybe this just adds cap space tightness on them.

well we will find out if that was Bullshit or not about matching, it's now 17.5 mil per with a trade kicker

four year max deal at nearly 70 Million...all I can say is fuck OKC either way..wow

Portland REALLY wants him so I don't see us negotiating with terrorists.

Bfw, break down the financials?!

For us and for okc.

So we finally go after a Euro center and you hate the idea. You have to admit that is pretty funny.

But not funny ha-ha. ("Finally"? Are we forgetting the Greatest Player to play for no NBA team but Portland?)

The thing is: I don't want to sign most Euro players. The only people who think I do are people who have never heard of non-US players and think that the very few Euro players I mention are all that there are. I didn't want Porzingis, either. In fact, it's starting to look like the only Euro players our front office likes are ones I positively dislike.

Oh, and Turkey is also in Asia.

That is a lot of money. Although they could have kept Harden for less.........:banghead2:

I say we make a bid at Adams as well. Make them choose between one of them

I hope they don't match, but they probably do. He is a beast down low.

They already said they would. OKC had been talking about maxing him. I think OKC was waiting for someone to sign him to a max offer - we actually saved them money. He will make less signing our deal with OKC matching than if OKC just signed him outright.

“Some” of the fans on a Thunder board are happy with Portland’s max offer, and hope Presti matches.

Reason, if the Thunder offered Enes a max offer, he would receive 7.5% raises. The Portland offer can only be for 4.5% raises.

IF? The Thunder planned to match Enes max offer, Olshey just saved them a few $$$.

Pleased to help!

The rise in the cap just makes that trade kicker even higher and thus harder to trade. Also the player option diminishes his trade value somewhat no?
