Gently?Well fuck me with a chainsaw!
and think about that Durant is a UFA next year, and they did not match Harden, what message does it send Durant if they don't match Kanter?OKC pretty much has to be 100% sold on kanter as a player to match.
All this goop about us taking their riff raff if they match is nonsensical.
With force and vigorGently?
With force and vigor
Surprising since I don't remember anybody but Westbrook ever shooting the ball while he was in OKCand 7th offensively
and 7th offensively
I actually like pj3All this goop about us taking their riff raff if they match is nonsensical.
Lower than all of our bigs?Per DX, Kanter's standing reach at the combine was 9'1.5", and his max vert was 32.5", giving him a max reach of 11'10". That's lower than all our bigs except Leonard. Further, his speed/agility numbers are very similar to Leonard's.
Conclusion--if Leonard can learn how to play defense, so can Kanter.
Surprising since I don't remember anybody but Westbrook ever shooting the ball while he was in OKC
And Raymond Felton. With force and vigor
I think they get equal minutes. Defense and offenseIf this happens I wonder where the playing time for Mason Plumlee would be
He's the guy I want to see the most. Vanilla Gorilla 2.0
Lower than all of our bigs?
In any case, signing Kanter here would be a huge vote of confidence on the Thunder's part, as this scenario has the Thunder going much farther over the luxury tax than they ever have been before.
“We haven’t received an offer sheet as of yet,” Thunder GM Sam Presti told The Oklahoman on Thursday afternoon. “But our intention has been to match offers on Enes and nothing has changed in this regard. Enes expressed his desire to be a part of the Thunder in our meeting with him yesterday and we have planned in advance should he receive an offer such as the one that has been reported.”
So you people who actually want us to GET Kanter:
- If he's good, we'll get more wins and a lower draft pick (and we'll have much less cap space)
- If he's bad, we'll get a good pick, but we'll be stuck with a guy who his old teammates in Utah were openly contemptuous of, only on a huge contract
You better believe he makes us a contender.
He's actually 8 years younger...its like having LA his 2nd season hereIf he's good, he replaces what Aldridge gave us, at 7 years younger and $4M/year less. I'm in favor of that.
