Blazers making offer to Kanter

I wouldn't doubt that OKC will take until Sunday. Many teams wait a couple of days, just to stick it to the team that signed the player to the offer sheet.

They all wait until the last minute. I honestly can't remember the last time an RFA wasn't matched at the last minute.

Well, Hibbert never signed the offer sheet, but Indy basically told the Blazer's they'd be matching, so he never came to sign it. I believe he was at the Indy airport heading here when Indy told him not to bother.

Waiting till the last minute doesn't really hurt us. We have other cap space and it's not like there's a bunch of other guys we want to sign.

Kanter/Plumlee/Kaman/Davis/Leonard/Vonleh/Aminu

Kanter pushes Kaman to the four. He is good from midrange and can get his own shot. I don't know how Davis and Plumlee fit there, but I can see either Vonleh or Leonard playing the three.

One way or another, we'd be a big team, but we might not get the perks (defense, rebounding, second chance points and easy looks —all of the things that our perimeter offense seemed to lack.)

I was constantly disappointed by our rebounding last year. The stats don't show it.

He also played for Donnie Nelson IIRC, so some of his early career failings had at least something to do with system.
Whatever the case, he was a poor defender and learned to be a damn good one. I have no doubt Dame can get to that level with his determination and work ethic

Kaman has been traded for Chris Paul... in the past.

Schilly you ass

I don't doubt Dame either. I doubt his coach. Dame will always be put in a no-win situation playing defense for Stotts.

I heard OKC is high on Mitch McGary. Another argument to let him go?

this is an absurd statement. Zbo was in the league for 8 years until he finally grew up. And Zbo was traded by 3 teams until he finally made a home in Memphis. Many considered him a total lost cause. The fact you are defending him this way only proves your total logic fallacy. Wake up and smell the coffee bro because you are still dreaming!

That's your problem. You just want to be right and jump on things that give you the best chance of being right. You give two shits about wanting our team succeed and be wrong, which has been constantly proven many times over since you've been here. (Insert "take a bow")

It's a sad case of "Look at me, I want attention!"

You made my point for me it took Z-Bo forever to get it, what motivation does Kanter have dude is looking at a max payday. Based on his age it is not unrealistic he could improve but from everything I have seen from him he does not seem to have that grit he needs to take that step.

No I want to be wrong unfortunately the team has failed repeatedly since I joined S2. I want the team to win a title more than anything else and will always continue to bitch, yell, complain and offer every single idea I have until we do so. By all means I am expecting the biggest shit storm when we finally succeed but until that happens I will continue to be me.

Thus we should pay Thibs and get someone who can help our best player with his biggest weakness

I'm kinda thinking that after the success Thibs had and the fact that he still got fired for off the court relationship issues... and he's still unemployed tells me he might not be the right guy to hire.

Why do you assume he's just going to sit on the money and do nothing? To me it just sounds like pure projection.

Zach got an equivalent of a max contract at the same age of Kanter.
