Fuck. Am I the only one that thinks JO is a bad idea?
I'm with you, wookee. I think many fans here are letting their nostalgia cloud their judgment. JO would be a downgrade over Leonard/TRob, he just wont have it physically anymore.

I don't think he would even provide any more veteran leadership/mentorship that we already have.

Net loss in my opinion.

Jermaine would be a nice pickup. It's not the end of the world if he doesn't sign.

JO played really well for GS last year. Really well.

How long until after O'Neal signs do we wait to discuss how bad the Freeland injury may really be? Not saying it is, just saying that a move like this means it may be worse than simply being evaluated again in ~2 weeks.

some of us are already thinking about it...but go ahead, if you want to start!

This just occurred to me..... how bad IS the Joel Freeland injury?

I'll start, if we are seriously talking signing another center, there may be a question mark about Joel's shoulder that goes beyond the 2 week thing or even Rolo's time table. Maybe this is the first of a couple of tweaks from Neil before the deadline. It could just be that Kaman doesn't want to start. He actually said that in the post game interview after his first start which surprised me.

I don't think its "How bad is freeland' injury" as being careful and not let what happened last season come again. Our GM may take a proactive move to cover our ass. If Lopez was healthy, I don't think it's as big of a concern. But that's not the case and we need bigs!

We saw what happened when Joel went down last year; even a couple of weeks is enough to ruin our positioning in the hypercompetitive West. The Front Office doesn't want a repeat of last season; I think they see this as The Year (or at least one of The Years), so they're trying to buy to keep up the pace, and not squander the good work everyone will be putting in over the next couple of weeks.

Basically, even if it is only two weeks, why should the rest of the Blazers' efforts be wasted with close losses?

Exactly!!!!

Losing 4 games could be the decider for a 2nd place team go 5th. Maybe even more of a drop!

It does seem like odd timing for JO to follow PA on twitter. If that is accurate info.

I see that he follows PA but saw no indication that he just now followed PA. How do you see a timeline on follows?
