BLAZERS @ PACERS - FEB. 7TH, 2014, FRIDAY, 4:00 PM - ESPN & CSNNW

I think the reffing at end went Pacers way, but the Blazers got a lot of breaks in the game. I really don't like replays for out of bounds plays.

Well it was a tough overtime loss but actually a pretty good game. We didn't get blown out by the #1 team in the NBA and if not for 2 badly missed rebounds in a game where we dominated the boards, we almost stole one in Indy! Get em next time! Go Blazers!

It's nice that Portland brought it against an elite team (for the first 43 minutes anyway). Their problem is they don't bring it against lesser competition.

This team just doesn't have the bench (or the balls) to win in the playoffs. Giving up all those offensive rebounds like a bunch of bitches.

Damn, LMA shit the bed in the second half.

Someone check Dame's FG% in overtimes. Gotta be nearing 90% in his career. 3-3 tonight

Ah c'mon man, give this rant a rest! Blazers played well tonight. Negative affirmation after negative affirmation. After the NY win you predicted we'd be destroyed in this game, now you say they have no balls...what is your point?

I love how negative fans like this guy show up after the Blazers lose the game, when they are not posting in the actual game thread.

BTW, our D has clearly improved. George Hill went off but he was making some bullshit shots. Nic absolutely SHUT DOWN Geogre. I haven't seen PG this frustrated in a while. Were it not for (clearly) moving picks from West/Hibbert, and some lucky breaks, he would not even have 17

How many defensive rebounds did these guys get in the last 10 minutes of the game? Because the only two I remember are when we got it and passed it to the other team for a dunk. Too bad the great effort by Damian and Robin goes down as a loss.

After the Blazers went up 8 in the 4th, I don't remember them every stopping the Pacers from scoring.

Refs with a ton of bullshit calls too.

In the last 12 minutes of the game (7 min of 4th quarter + 5 min of OT), the Blazers only grabbed 4 defensive boards (3 of those were in OT). And like you said, we threw away 2 of those defensive boards to the Pacers in the OT. That's just atrocious. That means Indiana was scoring on nearly every possession down the court in crunch time.

I thought we were too... and I'd almost want that cause this loss hurts way more than a blow out would.

They had no answer for West. That guy was money.

Tired starters, rusty bench.

Someone needs to slap Stotts. These losses were easily avoidable.

A finals between the Blazers and Pacers would be a great matchup.

Definitely one of the steadiest PFs in the NBA. In a close game, in the 4th quarter, I'd take West shooting jumpers over LMA 9 times out of 10.

We did prove that we do belong. I don't think anyone really doubts that.

That said, how fucking amazing would it be this year to have an Indiana/Portland finals matchup? (It's a long shot for us.) But damn... both of these games have been the 2 games of the year, without a doubt, in the nba.

I still think CJ needs a few more minutes. But oh well... probably wouldn't have mattered anyway.

When I saw you were the latest to post in this thread, I knew it would be anti-LMA before I even clicked on your post.

Jump shots are good if David West is shooting them.

I wouldn't be so critical of Portland if they had simply come up short, but they literally did not come up with one defensive stop in the last part of the game. 9 fucking offensive rebounds, and throwing it away to the other team for a jam? Part of the problem is how much ground our bench unit gives up. We got a whole new bench and it sucks just as much dick as last year's unit.

I don't buy this, no loss over Indy is easily avoidable let alone on their home court. Good effort tonight with some OT miscues..I think STotts would slap you right back
