Anyway focusing on just basketball here, I was excited with Billups pre interview and the answers he gave regarding, defense, ball movement, involving and playing through Nurk more have me even more excited. Of course will have to see how this translates to the games, but I'm extremely happy with the coach we got. Our roster, well thats a whole other issue.

Sorry I didn't mean to race bait or anything with my comment, but this past year has made me ultra aware of the discrepancies in how media covers people that are white/black. And some of the coverage we are seeing about Billups is shameful and blatantly racist. But I think back to how much this media market coddled Terry up until this year, and that PC today... was just a disgusting show.

Thank You I didn't get Portland News stations on Hulu in Springfield. As a matter of fact you hardly see anything on the Blazers in the Eugene area. Only 1 station would show their highlights. Just Ducks and Beavs. And High Schools. So Becker was the only reporter from when i lived in PDX in the early '90s i knew. I grew up with Doug Lamear, Ed Whalen, & Steve Arena.

It's like they think anyone with a position of power in the organization is some horrible, lying monster. My bet is that they're human on some level and actually take the allegations extremely seriously, as have all of Billups other employers in the last quarter century.

In my experience, the most untrusting people are the ones who are untrustworthy themselves.
