Blazers promote scout to assistant coach

#Blazers coach Nate McMillan is expected to promote advanced scout Larry Greer to assistant coach

Greer has been a scout with the #Blazers for four seasons after a two-year stint with the Rockets under Jeff Van Gundy.

Greer also coached at the college level for 15 years, including a nine-year stint as an assistant coach with Boston College.

The #Blazers are finalizing Greer's contract and the move is expected to become official sometime in the next few days.
