We were too good at shooting and defense last year. We are now looking for guards who can't shoot and old white guys in the paint.

This sounds like way more than a desperation plan. This is insane lol
28? Have you seen his game even? It's not really based in elite athleticism.. He's more of a point forward type. Some odd love baby that Iggy and Livingston had.So now we're going to go after a guy who's at the age when his game will severely regress?? Did Olshey have a stroke?
What the hell is going on?

There isn't a player in the league that I hate more than Pau Gasol. His cry to the refs face makes me want to punch my TV.
Pau after Turner is insult to injury.
Ohhhhhhhh my bad lol I thought you were referring to Turner! Wrong thread!Pau Gasol is not 28...
BigGameDamian is warging into Olshey. So now we're going to go after a guy who's at the age when his game will severely regress?? Did Olshey have a stroke?

He's Duncan smart...paces himself. Good for a couple more productive yearsHES 35 WTF!!!!
I don't get the age thing, but he would instantly be our best big by far, and we could be signing him with the tacit understanding that we'll look to trade him to a contender for younger prospects at the trade deadline.
If you bring in Pau it's because you believe that one of Plumlee or Leonard will turn into something special in two years. I still think Neil is making moves with an eye towards the 2018 playoffs. At 35, what is the plan going forward? He's just a stop gap and certainly not someone that is going to help put you over the top to win a title. He's still very productive even given his age but this just guarantees Portland remains in basketball purgatory....a Playoff team that isn't a contender.

He could alternatively be stupid, or under hypnosis, or actually working for Memphis. We can think lots of things. In the end, it doesn't even matter... Wait.I think it's cause he panicked
We'll never be bad enough to tank in the next few years, and we'll have no cap flexibility either. So either way we won't become a true contender unless we trade for a star, which will always be an option. At 35, what is the plan going forward? I think so tooI wouldn't be surprised if there was a big trade coming.
