Blazers randomly put out a video of Dame shooting around (1 Viewer)

Kind of a cool video, and like the music choice.

Not joking, it was a good choice.

I figured this was just archival footage because our owner wasn't paying anyone to shoot new stuff.

Then I realized he probably trashed the archives to downsize and save money.

I kind of wondered if he would have a uniform on - not really to play actual minutes but just to be available for an end of quarter shot. I actually checked on yesterday game to make sure I saw him in street clothes.

If he did decide to play in a game do you think he would announce it? I kind of don't think so - seems like he would just want to not say anything and then shockingly enter the game for his big return.
He wants his Willis Reed moment. He can be listed as active but it has to come as a surprise that he actually plays.

Is anyone worried about our defense when he returns?
I definitely am. He was a mid defender before the injury. I'm worried about him overall. Think about what Klay Thompson has looked like since his injury, think about how Wes Matthews looked after his. Shit, it was a long time ago but Kobe was never the same after his.

Dame isn't the same age as KD was or Tatum is and was never as athletically gifted as those two.

All of that said, Dame has made a hall of fame career out of making people who doubt him look like fools.

There's people on the twitters who are convinced the thing the Blazers are 'giving' the fans is Damian returning, and the IG video was a hint at it.

I guess it takes all kinds.

I think calling him a MID defender before the injury might be kind, he wasn't good on that half of the court at full strength and I expect him to be one of the five worst defensive players in the league next year as he comes back. That said, this team obviously needs shooting badly at this point and if he can play off the ball and let Deni create open looks, than I can live him the rest of the guys trying to pick up the slack on defense. Just looking at how the NBA is played now and having one dimensional guys on the court doesn't work if you want to be a serious contender and Portland still doesn't have enough wings that play both ends of the court well enough.
